Part 1 of Switching to Intel Arc ended up being almost entirely hardware-related, and Luke has a lot of complaints on the software side of things only one week into the 30-day challenge. Intel usually makes software that works, just how bad could Arc Control be?

Arc Control. Thank you for the lols Intel.
Luke gets a free Linus slap after this confirmed
So no more ARC vids huh?

When will pt3 get published?
Part 3 I'm excited
Given that you can get two 770s for the price of one RTX3080, next test should be running them parallel?
nVidia Cards hard crash on older titles for me all the time
Great series. Can't wait to see Part3!
I was planning to maybe get an Arc GPU for the possibility of using AV1 with OBS Studio but thanks for pointing out that it's Nvidia only for now!
When does the next part come?
In other words, it's totally fine for the majority of customers(as presumably only a low percentage of people stream their gaming), particularly considering recent updates have apparently improved performance.
I'm still using my antec high current pro from back then. No joke, 100% uptime minus reboots and a random night once or twice a year where I actually turn the machine off. vast majority of the time it was on an OC 3930k. now its in my new daily driver with a x5800 and 2080ti. 2011ish to today. I did try to OC today with my 5800x for the first time and I think I'm hitting the power limit or its on its last leg. no BSOD or watchdog. it just cuts out and resets like when i had the 2080 on one 12V rail.
Honestly, when I am streaming and recording at the same time I have found GPU encoding works more reliably anyway. (RTX3080Ti SuprimX) and despite what Nvidia Claims, has better fps. But I have a 12 core 24 thread CPU so it always has plenty of headroom when gaming 😁
This was much better than Linus part, more info, less drama.
8:03 welcome to Windows' event viewer, the most useless thing ever created.
I can always find tons of stuff in it that i don't need, except for those instances that i DO NEED ot find something in it.
The blooming effect In Halo Infinte is def an ARC problem. Haven't found a way to fix it yet. I've done everything I could think of to try to fix it
Ha now I am smarter than all of Linus viewer because invidia took my advice and made 4090 bigger lol I win
me and my vega 8 •_•
Rally good Cutter, the segway is awesome.👍
Ive got a ancient relic of a gaming pc that Ive cobbled together with free parts and have installed two power supplies into just to have one to power the graphics card. its only a pain because of 2 power buttons but it works fine to play gtaV and diablo 3 and thats all i need it to do lol embarassing specs (hp ivy bridge, i5 3570, 8gb ddr3, gtx760, 250gb samsung ssd +500gb wd blue and 2 power supplies in a coolermaster storm case.) but it functions without issues on a slight gpu overclock.
so i still need to pay the stupid price for obs av1 encoding…
and im still rocking my 1080ti with no issues xD still playes everything i want with no problem
Everyone talking about Luke but can I just say the dual PSU setup is banger
I had a hard crash on my arc770LE on windows 10, twice almost off the bat. I was curious and updated to windows 11 and have played mw2, witcher 3, gta V, and cyberpunk with absolutely no issues.
So is intel still investing in GPU or are these the only cards to be made?
