I have used my Optical drive MANY MANY TIMES in the TWO WEEKS I've had this PC.

I want to become a PC gamer
I have a question. Let's say I have a GPU that gives me 80 FPS in a game. Someone told me that playing the game on a monitor that is capped to 60 FPS will give me a smoother experience than playing it in a 120 HZ monitor which allows me to see all 80 FPS, but because it is only 80 out of 120, it will be make the game feel more sluggish than on the 60 out of 60 hz monitor. Is this nonsense or true?

Mistake nr. 1~ Increase of framerates.
I’ve been using 60fps on a 144hz monitor for 4 or 5 months now. Thank you so much!!! I feel like an idiot lmao
That's why I never get a gpu bigger then my cpu
2700x 4.2 hz with rx 6600 getting 111 fps in fallout 76
117 fps on hot wheels
85 fps on bf 2042
I'm above 60 fps in 99 % of games high settings 👌
for me when Having a high refresh monitor allows me to enjoy lower framerates with my games since the reason why games feel slow is because of Vsync and because the render queue is full. If you go to control panel and turn on ultra low latency then the render queue will be kept empty. or you can cap the framerate so that gpu usage go down to at least a constant 95% max gpu usage with preferably 80% max gpu usage. for me I play at 48 fps cap and sometimes 52fps cap since then my gpu use less power and thermals are super low and that makes those gpu fans spin slower making the card last longer.
