We were super disappointed the first time we checked out the Eluktronics Liquid Propulsion Package, but now they’ve fixed everything.. maybe.

  1. Eluktronics and XMG are both resellers of products from Clevo and TongFang.

  2. Is that just a rebranded HP Omen laptop?

  3. I remember primamod. they did a lot of bios unlocking for clevo laptops back in the day.

  4. I like the Canadian accent – it's ouuutstanding… 😉🙃

  5. One of the major hurdles when having all products made in China. A Chinese manufacturer who was hired to make Company A's product is highly incentivized to make the same product for another company or even for themselves and good luck holding a Chinese manufacturer to any kind of exclusivity or noncompete contract. Their government doesn't give a damn about foreign IP's being stolen or sold by a Chinese company.

I'm not saying that's what happened in this case. If anything, I think these two company's likely had exclusive rights to sell the same product in different markets. That's extremely common.

Nevertheless, if you are a relatively small company and you send your design to a Chinese manufacturer to create molds and prototypes for you, you need to be prepared for that manufacturer to start making and selling that same product under a different brand name, likely one of their own in-house brand names. In essence, by sending them your design, you've just created a serious competitor who will easily be able to undercut you on price because they are the OEM for the product.

For example, lets say you have a great design for a pocket knife. If you send that design to some less-than-reputable Chinese manufacturer and enlist them to create it for you, you should expect to see an identical or nearly identical product for sale on Amazon. It may hit the market before yours does but even if it doesn't, it'll be significantly cheaper than yours. One of the many pitfalls of working with Chinese manufacturers.

  6. Definitely quiet

  7. Damn Linus got that pump goin 12:13

  8. Oh please, at LTT jankiness is THE production value!!

  9. ConsuLTT offline and generate revenue that can be used towards production of online content, build relationships and help develop products that you can then review online if and when applicable. Knowing you guys are helping to create end products I could buy gives me confidence and really adds value. Your skills and knowledge go way beyond what we currently know and love about you.

  10. Definetly give consulting a go.
Look at derbauer on lian li, the ryzen master bois on amd. It tends to work out in both parties favour.

  11. Why don't laptop GPUs have different names, as they are not the same. Shouldn't it be a 3080tiL or something. It sounds weird for the GPU in a laptop to have the same name as the desktop unit.

It looks like the quick connects on the pump side seal shut. If they were to swap it so you'd have a male and female on each side, the female being sealed on the laptop would create a vacuum that works in conjunction with capillary action to prevent the laptop from leaking.

Linus: "Your monitors color calibration is way off".
    Me: cries in colorblind

  12. I think we trust you on early products that you consulted on. From the business aspect they also get consumer feedback right off the bat based on what you reviewed to us to improve Said product. Go for it Linus.

  13. These guys need to get with koolance and have then build them a mini QD and be done with it. Koolance has the tooling to make custom stuff like that…given you have enough money.

  14. am I the only one who dont understand why product dévelopement is said being that mutch expensive ?
like designing a concept using part that are already manufactured doesn't sems that impossible. it should not cost "4 to 5 gran for every single bolt"

  15. I really can't see the use case for this machine. At this point save some money and build a desktop

  16. Last bunch of clowns I would include in my prototype feedback loop.

  17. This is great! If you have a job that you need a labtop but at the end of the day you like to play videogames when you get home this is definitely a viable option! This might change the future of labtops! Wonder how they managed to do this, it would also be cool if they sold universal kits that you could plug it to any labtop with some modifications required on the labtop of course, I think they could sell more, I was thinking about mod fitting an external aio cooler to an old labtop just for fun, it would also be interesting if they had a program that could control the unit through an USB port instead of running it on a constant fan speed to control the temperatures better, very interesting concept for sure!

  18. Wait what happened to the last benchmark score after the fist attempt did they beat the record?

  19. I would love to see videos where you cut between looking at the prototype and the final product to show us issues you found and how they were resolved 🙂
