Depends on the person. For me the sweet spot is 1440p 165hz with an IPS panel.

This is mine, still in the box as I got the XPS 8940 arriving tomorrow straight from Dell. The monitor is a Dell 27 Curved Gaming Monitor – S2722DGM. 99% sRGB color, 1ms response, and 165Hz… it's pretty good I think.
