  1. Thank you I didn't listen be harder on them foh

  2. F the iPad it sucks stop being the problem and make changes Pay over $2000 for a simple device I canā€™t do anything I need to resize a window slide over is utterly useless I donā€™t care about downloading illegal content to use it I just wanna work with the iPad that I brought I have to buy another device to use for work for simple tasks or

  3. I donā€™t have a problem with the OS as much as the fact apple doesnā€™t allow node js style web development. Thatā€™s a policy issue rather than an OS issue.

  4. Quick notes doesnā€™t need a pencil. This is a really poor review.

  5. The multitasking-/ā€žwindowā€œ-management alone is worth to install the beta. And for me, the widgets are awesome now, also.

  6. The iPad is a great companion to the MacBook. The Pro is kinda supplanted by the Air in terms of value-per-dollar at this point, but I personally really like the Pro and I feel comfortable spending the money for what are basically luxury features on my 2018 11ā€, ike ProMotion, FaceID, and ever-so-slightly smaller bezels

  7. I'm waiting for my 11" M1 iPad Pro to be delivered today. It will replace my old and tired 1st gen Microsoft Surface Go. This is my 1st iPad. In the past, I haved purchased cheap tablets (Amazon). When the Surface Go was launched I was really happy! Finally! A 2-in-1! But the lackluster performance had me going through buyers remorse. To make my iPad more like the Surface it will replace, I'm going to buy the Logitech Combo Touch case and keyboard. I liked having the detachable keyboard on my Surface when I wanted to use it as a tablet. Now I'll be able to do the same with my iPad.šŸ˜ƒ

  8. Apple should make email notifications for specific messages – so when an important person responds to your email the mail app notifies you on that specific email reply.

  9. Idk why everyone is complaining, the people who get an iPad (even the Pro) know they don't need a macbook or laptop. Their iPad could do everything.

  10. This Looks windows 8 metro with rounded corners with new name.

  11. What is that iPad case

  12. Nothing changes. Minimal upgrade things it should've had years ago.

  13. iPad os is Going to REMAIN IPAD centricā€¦ the overall community is expecting things that apple never specifically hinted ; stated or promised

This meansā€¦ iOS windowing systemā€¦ not macOS windowing and Mission Control

iOS packaged apps ā€¦ meaning iOS Dev kit apps ā€¦ the pro apps that we love from macos where made using their own code kits including apples own pro apps

What this does mean is app developers get the chance to design and make the best apps for iPad instead of dragging and dropping why they created for something else including other Apple products

Tgis is no different then apple making the mouse for the original Macā€™s apple didnā€™t want developers to bring their command line based apps over and calling it a day it eventually let those apps in but within the Visual user interface they created fir new computers

Furthermore the store of the iPad has always been the user and apples 3rd party app developers who are unlocking more capabilities within the device ā€¦ the iPad Pro never had a narrative other then being more flexible for creators

Why are Tech People so obsessed with windows? Every day it drives me crazy on a PC to manage all my open windows.

  14. If Apple gives what ppl want in iPad Os then it will cannibalize its Macbook sales…

  15. I donā€™t want the iPad to be laptopā€¦ make it better but better iPad if and when I need a laptop Iā€™ll get one.

  16. Beta

  17. It's good to see Apple finally tryinb to keep up with the likes of Samsung šŸ˜‰

  18. So basically: Meh

  19. A hole

  20. I literally have the most powerful media consumption device on earth.

  21. Why we always accept software incremental steps and the hardware goes leaps and bounds. Seems software always doing catchup or just being lack luster. Why we accept this?

  22. šŸ™‚

  23. Why is it that Apple is always behind ā€œtechā€™ and they make it seem like its new ? Can someone explain this to me in all honesty

  24. Sadly iPadOS is still a bit of a toy OS and just not enough to get the best out of the iPadPro

Better to just buy the cheapest iPad you can get.

    I expected at least:

    1. Multi User support like MacOS, Windows, Linux, Unix, Android has had for ages.
    2. External screen output at native external screen resolution and not just screen mirror but a proper second screen
    3. Definitely expected more from the file manager, at least offering ability to format external storage with different filesystems. Seems like they finally got a copy status indicator. Keen to see if it also works copies over network?
    4. Support more filesystems for external storage
    5. Consolidate all settings for keyboard, mouse, pen in one menu option rather than scattered everywhere
    6. On the topic of mouse and keyboard the use of it can still be improved, mouse input using web office productivity apps on Safari is still flakey for both O365 and Google Docs.
    7. Need a proper app tray. At least we finally got one like iOS got last year already, but still way off MacOS, Android or pretty much any other OS has had for many years. I really really don't need all my damn apps on my desktop like I'm a toddler.
    8. Ability to place widgets and shortcuts anywhere allowing me to have a clean clutter free desktop. Even now saying you can is total BS when in actual fact they still force the top left grid layout
    9. Full on MacOS Safari and Chrome from the Mac. Not glorified desktop like mobile versions. Online design services like Marvel Apps or even AWS consoles work well on desktop but simply does not work well on iPad. Heck some online services like Sendgrid, the console just crashes on login.
    10. Perhaps a bit more freedom to sideload apps. Really frustrating that apps like Synology DSGet is not allowed on iOS. (I know this will ever happen)
    11. Hopefully all that Mac Silicone productivity/pro apps make their way to iPad too like full MS Office rather than the current gimped mobile version. Would love to also see Flutter, final cut, Adobe suite, xcode on it.

  25. Honestly reviewers should really get over this whole expectation of a tablet to be a mini computer/laptop. If you need a laptop, get a laptop…….you need a phone, get a phone…….a tablet should be an in between. The iPad seamlessly running desktop website is even a great improvement. App developers should just tap into the advantages a tablet has to offer.

    Itā€™s that simple
