iPad line got more interesting..
Love the idea of having an iPhone with TouchID integrated into the power button and having a notch less seamless bezel display on the front.. much awaited design change ✌️
Other than the better processor, it's hard to justify how the Air is worth $270 more than the iPad 9th generation. Very nearly double the price! A lot of the upgraded features seem dependent on buying OTHER apple products: the magic keyboard, the better pencil, etc. If you're not going to buy that stuff, it seems like you're paying for a lot of features you'll never use (or at least not use fully). Because of that, I just don't see it. 128gb memory would have made it a compelling alternative, but in my opinion you either need a device for games and watching movies on planes (iPad 9th) or you need something with all the bells and whistles (in which case, just save up and get the Pro). So for me the this doesn't achieve a "sweet spot" so much as a question of whose use case wouldn't be better served by one of the alternatives in the iPad lineup?
Hi Scott,
I’ve got the iPad Pro 2020, iPad Mini 2021 and the iPhone Pro 12 Max.
Now I’m thinking about to buy the iPad Air 2022 and sell the other iPad’s, because I’m actually not using all the extra specs of the pro.
What do you recommend?
Greetings,
Jacobine from the Netherlands
Good informative video. Thanks man!
BTW fabulous hair!

I appreciate Apple trying to unify its iPad lineup with the M series chip. Hopefully the next to get M1 will be the Mini 7 as It may launch a year+ from Mini 6 in Sep 2021 so we may see it by March 2023 for a 18 month gap like how the Air 4, M1 iPad Pro and now Air 5 had with a lesser 8-10 month period
Gaming will definitely be improved from the M1 as now devs have a choice of how much ram to use between the minimal 3GB to the base M1s 8GB to even the highest M1 tier at 16GB. And that storage increase from ipadOS 15 will benefit the games too
I’ll be waiting for the new iPad Pro. The air is underwhelming, especially with the storage nonsense.
iPad or laptop air? To study . IP in London .
Thumbs up for the Soundwave in the background
i really dont care about anything you said ill just say if i were to buy an ipad i would buy the air for the usb c port. i dont like having 6 different chargers. Personally i couldnt care less what processor they put in it. Its basically a netflix machine. Anyway, i dont need this I have a macbook pro tho i wish it wasnt so heavy but hey cant have it all
Bring back the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Lint roller next time please
They really advertise their iPad with Genshit impact 🤮🤮 sorry apple I’m sticking with the S22
I’m planing to trade in my IPad air 256, I just got last year. I hope to get a good credit for it.
Apple hasnt embrace WiFi 6E, their recent iPad mini 6 doesnt have WiFi 6E. Never really care about 5Guw but they really need to put WiFi 6E on their iDevices.
There’s too many damn iPad variations to choose from. Steve Jobs would’ve preferred a more streamlined lineup and to not confuse people. One iPad that does everything it’s supposed to do in 2 sizes is simple and enough. With is there 9.7 inch an 11 inch and 12.9 inch? And then there’s the options of iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro not including the mini. Just like all the phones. The pro, pro max, se, etc. apples lineup is way to congested. It used to be when u bought an iPad or iPhone then u got all the features it’s capable of instead of making u pay extra for these features.
You know what you need to get? A haircut. Jokes aside, the A14 in the 2020 iPad Air is overkill for the majority of people, so no, you don't need the M1 iPad Air.
Honestly the upgrade we needed was a storage upgrade for the iPad Air instead of the M1 chip. Most people will feel no difference with the rumored A15 and people who need the M1 chip will appreciate the other features that the iPad Pro includes.
Personally I think 128GB is the safest. I mean, it really depends on how you use your iPad. If you think you’re gonna be using it for like editing videos/photos and stuff, then go for 256GB 😊 I guess apple has 64GB to confuse us by getting the 256GB model to earn high profit 😆😂
Seeing videos that have to constantly explain the iPad lineup just makes feel like there is a problem with the lineup itself if it needs to be explained.
because there is no 128g air, so I looked at ipad pro for a better value. Then think twice on the price. I give both up. If they had 128, i would purchase without any hesitation.
I’m waiting for iPad mini m1
Why is America’s premiere hardware company releasing computers with 64gb in 2022?
This is just like 300$ ipad with usb-c and m1 that you don't need on ipad. So why pay twice?
No one ever talks about the microphones. What is the microphone situation with the iPad Air?
They should have called it the "M1 Apple event" it was just a new chip in the old products. Plus, an over expensive desktop computer set and of course with the M1 chip
Again another video by this video which makes sense for viewers to all craziness the companies put out
Which Mac products have OLED displays ?
Can't wait for M1 to come to the iPhone 😁👌💯
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think I can wait more half year to see if Apple will release an iPad Pro 11 with Mini-LED & M2 chip
M1 is Next Level…😍
And still not get 4 speaker
I think refurbished 2020 iPad Pro is the best. It comes with 128GB and about $60 cheaper than 256GB iPad Air. I don’t think many people will need M1 performance on an iPad.
Samsung S8 plus !
This is the type of videos we need!
It only makes sense to get the iPad Air 64GB the 256GB comes to close to the price of the 128GB iPad Pro iPad Air just sits horribly with the line up of iPads
Genshin Impact is now the baseline of every gaming console when comes of performance
Anyone waiting for the New iPad Pro in April 2022? 🧐😋😅
I recently purchased the iPad air 4 knowing they would likely do an upgrade soon. I got it on sale for $100 off. I'm pretty happy with it.
I have an pad air 4. So this is the 5 2022
The iPad Air is thicker than the iPad Pro… and 5 grams lighter…. it's no "air"
Is there a new iPad pro announced or coming soon? any info?
64GB on a tablet in 2022 haha. 64GB was a thing in 2019 but not now. Phones and tablets minimum storage should be 256GB in my opinion
Just when I thought Apple would make their iPad lineup make more sense 😂
….Did I miss the part where you talked about the pretty big deal of the M1 iPad pro having 120hz and the 5th Gen iPad Air still being at 60hz??
That's a BIG difference, and you didn't even mention it?
120 hz matters brohh. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Wht about the center stage capability? Is it available in this new iPad Air?
