  1. I think I go super cheap until I know if it's something I'm able to put time and effort into. I have very bad back issues and typing hurts, spending time doing this may hurt me too much but I won't know if I don't try. I found that people like hearing me talk from playing online games and maybe I'll be "The funny Cowboy Guy" streaming Tarkov videos or just chatting about cars, guns and just about anything I get into that time of day or night. All comes down to how bad it hurts me to do all of it… I was a driver until I got hit in the rear hard by a lady in a truck, messed my back up even worse then it already was. I hope this helps me go from driving 900+ miles in a 4 day work week to not being able to drive without great pain, I need something to do… something to keep my mind busy!

  2. His a5000 looked awful, it's might as well have been a cheap Chinese webcam. Jesus this video mustve been made in a rush

  3. 11:24 pretty much sums up CANADA

  4. Can't go wrong with the Rode Podmic if you're after a Dynamic mic.

  5. I got a honey ad with linus and james before the video even started

just in case anyone is seeing this, you can hide all the menu garbage on canon dslr's .. at least the newer ones back to like the t3i

  6. Very interesting. That hammer mic was SUPER poppy on the 'P's. Would a mic like that work okay with a screen in front to fight that? I normally see that on condenser mics.

  7. This video has been out forever and no one else realized at 2:46 there's a freddee gredde reference from his from his 32 songs in 8 minutes?!

  8. You can use the elgato microphone and add eq and compression in obs and elgato software have submixes in them to control your music game sound and all of that stuff

  9. Great idea for a video, but I feel there are several weird advices, for example nowadays Sony cameras are absolutely amazing, but these old models that are recommended are not near as popular as Canon models from same time period, there's a ton of bodies and lenses out there, I'm sure others must have pointed out that there is both EOS webcam utility and if that's not ur cup of tea or ur on Mac etc.. dont forget abt the Magic Lantern mod you can use.
What in the world is this recommendation abt 30fps shutter speed 1/60? It just makes no sense, if u really want to create that movie style look with lack of smoothness (which is fine) then just go for 24fps, if u already decided to go for TV look and 30fps or higher just do 1/30, or 60fps 1/60, cellphones both record and can display video with amazing refresh rates, stop recommending antiquated 'rules', whats next, reciprocal rule?

  10. I have been thinking about starting to stream and if i want to stream Nintendo games (without a emulator ) i will get a evga xr1 by saving 150,000 channel points on the teamevga twitch channel it shouldnt take too long if i start do doing a bit bigger prediction bets and with a little luck

  11. Can someone please link the audio interface?

  12. My 0$ streaming setup was easy: old camera with broken LCD, cable I had laying around, desk tripod I already have. Headphones I already use. Microphone is the cable I use for my headphones.

But I am willing upgrade 1500€ for a better audio solution: premium headmounted microphone, open headphones and an audio interface as well as good cables.

  13. Is the elgato wave 3 good I’ve just got it as a gift

  14. Linus: I stream you stream we all stream for I STREAM
    Apple: WRITE THAT DOWN

  15. Why the hell is Evon in the thumbnail?

    What monitor is tust

  16. Umc22 is solid!

  17. What about a capture card from Hauppauge? They do those as well as TV tuner cards.

  18. 2:46 This is the second video in a short while that you've references Tay Zonday's Chocolate Rain! 😀

  19. ipwebcam ? has he not heard of Obs Ninja ??

  20. Do a cheap gaming and streaming rig

  21. Anyone else got annoyed when Linus kept resizing OBS Display Capture??

  22. For "a pacifist Canadian" you did way too much shooting.

6:25 My research told me that the A5100 overheats after about 10 minutes of use and shuts down.

  23. Extremely obscure chocolate rain reference 2:45

  24. the chocolate rain reference was so good lol

  25. 8:57 stop drinking like this, people.

    "I'm a pacifist canadian" lol

  26. If you're reading this and you can afford an Aston Origin, please don't plug it on a Behringer sound interface( Terrible pre-amp ), get something that will do your mic some justice even if you're on "budget". like a Focusrite, Presonus or even Steinberg.

  27. i have a Galaxy S9 with some major display burn-in issues, and honestly it is not worth getting the screen replaced in India, so I use it as a excellent webcam.

  28. 9:34 Why did you show that. I need to bleach my eyes now…..

  29. Why not just use Philips Wiz LED lights, then the colour temperature can be adjusted on the fly by software. You can save the hundreds of dollars too

  30. I feel like the original setup was better, hmm, except maybe audio.

  31. 3:10

That explains why linus's voice sounded so much deeper

  32. Canon has software to connect your camera via USB and outputs a clean image. It’s only officially supported to the Rebel T3, but it works just fine on my T2i.

  33. Canon EOS 200D (Rebel SL2) has webcam utility software, allowing for a really good image over USB. Really easy and high quality image!

It's funny. The Behringer was the device recommended, but in the software setup, they're using a Focusrite lol. The Behringer doesn't have any decent software. It uses super generic ASIO drivers. Unfortunate.
