  1. Great and funny review. Good work and thanks. The dependence off the app and an account is a nogo for me regarding speakers in general. That's one of the reasons I returned a Beam (which does not do well in a corner TruePlay or not). But boy Sonos do produce some premium products with great sound. No doubt. My Creative T20 has served me well, but looking for an upgrade and stereo speakers just seems the way to go. Kind of hooked on stereo separation, which I find hard to get from a bar…that fits on the desk 😉

  2. Would love it if there was an optical switcher listed in the comments…as mentioned in the video?

  3. No way. I hate sonos close ecosystem.

  4. Great Review man!!! 😎👍

Jesus Christ. Please use your head phone while playing APEX.

  5. If you have an iPhone or an iPad, you should try trueplay. Every Sonos speaker I've ever had sounded dramatically better with trueplay.

  6. Was in store listning to sonos ray, think sound was good. Any reason not to buy it? Will use with desktop computer for gaming/ listen music on computer

  7. I saw your video, and then bought the Sonos Ray, plug it on the optical out of my mother board… and ouch what an horrible sound far worse than what this bar can do with my iPhone…
    can't understand why.
There is no power, did I miss something? maybe a dedicated audio card?
I bought that for YouTube video, and the voice is so off. nothing like yours test.
only sonos radio sounds very good, but I tried with Netflix on my computer and it's nearly impossible to hear the voices on the film.

  8. Does this have an annoying energy saving feature where the soundbar turns itself off or mutes itself if no signal is coming into it for a short period of time?
I tried a cheaper Vizio 20" soundbar for my computer and I LOVED the sound for the price, but it would 'power down' if no sound came to it, and when sound did come back to it, it would take a second for it to register and hear it. I tried turning the Energy saving off but it didn't help with the Vizio.
Is that a problem with this speaker?

  9. One thing I would really like to know, how does this work with the extras speakers when connected to a computer? Does it give you true surround, or does it just play the same thing out of all the speakers?

  10. G’Day there,
I’ve become a bit of a SONOS convert and am very keen to get one specifically for PC Gaming as I really don’t love having headphones on all the time.
As soon as I gain approval from the Bank of Wife, I’ll be adding one of these to my “study”. Might even accidentally get the wall mount and a couple of extra ONE SL’s to sit behind my desk for that surroundy soundy-vibe. 🙂

  11. I like how you show us your screw ups! Most folks would have edited that out to look smart and perfect. I don't want perfect, I want normal!

  12. DONT buy this.

Ive had two Ray soundbars today.
Both have static noises, white hissing, electronic buzzing sounds and they wont even work at all without an app.

  13. Ordered one, will pick up in a few hours.
Its by far the worst electronic product I have ever owned.

  14. 8:04. I disagree, and think this is poor advice, that it would be hard pushed to get better for the money.

Google desktop speakers or active desktop speakers, and there are lots of alternatives. Speakers will give stereo for enemy location too.

  15. Klipsh The Fives. Never have to upgrade again.

  16. Me who has a semi decent headset which still works after 5 years

I think separate speakers are better for gaming and music. Sonos at that price range are ok ,but their is better out there.

  17. I started watching your videos 2 months ago from how to build a pc to good pc parts/accessories. I can now say I’m a proud owner of a RTX 3080/i7 11700k that I built myself 2 weeks ago. love all these videos.

  18. My logitec g560 speakers are great. It comes with a sub and two powerful speakers. There is a app to fine tune the sound.

  19. For gaming, you need headsets really, yes for communications, but mainly to hear where your enemies are around you. I’ve noticed this more than ever playing Apex, where, let’s face it, the sound can be pretty buggy at times.

  20. It looks cool but without being their to hear as hearing it on you tube is totally different, but i love my surround sound 5 speaker plus sub logitech system. Roughly 2oo to 300 bucks but never tried anything else. And of course i have the 500 rig headset love them for ps5 gaming and pc.
