I finally broke down and purchased my first two Echo devices. I caught Amzon selling the Echo Show 8 with a free Echo Show Kids 5 with my OTD total of $62. I'm replacing all my wall switches with smart switches and already have Eufy security cameras, so I'm finally starting my smart home.
It's purely a night table unit. What do you expect for $36 – $40. You're far from a Pro. By the way, Trim your beard yuppie

Gonna be honest it being able to make calls and being a speaker is just a plus
I don't know who makes these Echo/Alexa devices, but you should look into making an App. that can be used on a PC. My 32" 4K PC monitor screen is way better than the Echo Show 5, so with an App from ?Amazon? that I could put on my PC to make my PC work as an Alexa, that would be great.
$35 at Home Depot in Okemos (near Lansing) Michigan now 20-Dec-2022. Does anyone know where the microphone input is on this Echo Show 5? I have to yell at it to wake it up. Thanks.

I recently purchased the echo show 5 2nd generation, I had the first generation so know about setting it up. This is a black unit the screen instead on showing pictures including my photos it dose not I also have a show 8 which is great does everything. I thought being 2nd generation it would be better I have been I to settings so instead of pictures I have a black screen with time only

Just picked one of these up for $35 to go with the Ring doorbell I ordered. The 8 is double the cost right now and I’m on a budget so this works as a screen to see the doorbell footage with in the kitchen
I got this thing for $10 😂 I was buying the Ring door bell which was already on sale for $59 and It said I can bundle it with the Echo 5 2nd gen for just another $10. So I definitely did. I got no complaints.

Bought this on sale for $25 because I have an echo dot and I only use it in the kitchen for timers and weather. Would be nice ot have a screen

Are you plugging it into ANOTHER speaker? How loud do you need your music? And why not just use Bluetooth??

What is difference between the echo show devices and simply just putting your kindle fire hd in show mode with a stand?
