would not compare with game consoles wich has diffrent hardware and they addressed hardware diffrent and also the kernel has only the funktionality that specific hardware support that is a micro pc with an amd64 system wich is windows driven
Ayaneo makes some nice little devies, though i wish instead of these handhelds coming out being handheld pcs/tablets they were pure gaming handheld consoles. I hope ayaneo at some point created a handheld device that instead of focuses being a mini handheld gaming pc but like switch a handheld gaming console thats not meant to be a pc.

the price to performance ratio of this thing is garbo compared to the steam deck. Maybe the recently announced Aya NEO 2 will fare better
I really gotta get my work on your channel lol. Not only am I a fellow Canadian, but I make Linux and retro gaming / emulation builds for many of these handhelds. I've got steam os 3 from steam deck and Ubuntu 22 and 20 LTS on these. Also have a windows Emulationstation zip that runs over 100 systems out of the box(no ROMs provided)
My Steam Deck will not be available until October, so I'm getting a Aya Neo Next to tide myself over, as well as for all the stuff that the Steam Deck can run due to Linux. I'm hugely into emulation, and the performance of newer emulators are notoriously horrible on Linux vs Windows. Might even cancel my pre-order and wait until the Steam Deck 2.

My first mobile gaming was my Sega Game Gear I got while vacationing in Hawaii as a kid in 1991. I was already a Sega kid with my Mega Drive, the game gear absolutely blew me away as a kid being able to play color games that looked like something on my console at home.

The Aya Neo looks fine, but the price-point is a big issue. That being said, competition on the market is always good.
Why didnt you use ryujinx for breath of the wild ? Yuzu and cemu are just garbage compared to ryujinx 🙁
I have one of these and I wholly recommend it. It is pricey though but nicer than the win gpd
if ms just came out with a portable series x or even series s that also would work with pc game pass that would render this steam deck and everything else pretty much irrelevant
I think hardware developers should consider repairability of these hand held PC's. They are infact expensive.

Linus's review of the Steam Deck confirmed what everyone was saying, the steam deck is so much better for what you are paying for.
It’s still just too expensive. Everyone is saying it but I’m gonna say it again, steam deck man. The steam deck makes it a ridiculous choice to buy this $1200 behemoth, when you can get something with comparable or possibly even better performance for a third of the price. I mean most people probably will go for the more expensive steam deck models, but the $400 is there and makes it so accessible. Even the most expensive one is a better deal than the neo or anything from gpd. Valve being able to sell them at a loss makes all the difference
For that price I could buy ps5, cheaper version of new Xbox and steam deck and probs switch console lol sorry but nah
