Strix has allllll that I/O, with a bios flashback and a clear CMOS button…. While I still think the prices are way too high for these new mobo's, at least the Strix is $200 dollars cheaper than the CH Hero. I ended up getting the Strix E-E, and a 7950X Ryzen. Unbeatable combo…

Sorry for being an idiot for asking this, if the AMD Ryzen CPUs and AM5 motherboards are to release on 27th Sept, does it mean it's a global release or only the US? Asking because I am based in Asia.

People will laugh at these specs in 15 years just into obsolescence like those dual-core Athlons.
The prices are crazy some 80% to 100% more for same model as last gen.
That Gene motherboard and the X670E-i sure caught my eye!
"so much on them…" but again this generation imho Asus did miss an important IO in their mid- & low-tier lineup 😞 – the 2nd front-usb 3.2 Gen 1 Type A connector.
I'm probably not the only one, who wants to connect 1x USB 3.2 Type C and 2x USB 3.2 Type A as front-usb ports AND in addition an internal card-reader, which also requires an USB-3.2 Type A connector – so I need 1xType C and 2xType A connectors.
The lowest ASUS motherboard so far offering this connections is the ROG Crosshair Hero (!) with a lot of high-end gaming- and overclocking-features increasing the price.
I get Asus must differentiate the X670e board by features… but no midrange board with 3xfront-usb is saving money on the wrong feature… which competition supports. And esp. for a motherboard aimed at content-creators like the ProArt – not offering this amount of front-usb connection – for this board I would call that literaly a design-flaw.
Asus? meh!
