This motherboard doesn’t have a slot worthy of a capture card. What gamer builds a new rig without considering streaming.
i have the same specs except for its 10gen i5 and gddr6 version of 1650
Gave my little sister a desktop for her birthday this year, it had a 1650 😅… I was worried I was a very small part of the problem, then remembered my rig skewed the stats back up so net neutral.
Well considering my Antec HCG 850w 80+ Bronze died in under 5 years, having never used more than 60% of it's potential at any given time… I'm over high end PSUs (says the guy with a HX850i now…), Im just gunna stick with whatever is in budget and doesnt feel like it's filled with toiletpaper. If it's got weight and it's got the watts, it's good enough.

Where does the $735 figure come from here?? $190 for i5, $110 for MB, $160 for SSD, $50 for memory, $60 for the case, $40 for the power supply, $170 for GPU, $100 for monitor – this adds up to $880 and that's not including keyboard or mouse.
1650 was always a complete failure, rx570 is much better choice

I would never buy a motherboard without a passive VRM cooling.
Steam survey is very flawed and means basically nothing
it's worth pointing out that there are 3 or 4 identically named SKUs of the 1650, which you can see more clearly on wikipedia's page on the 16 series here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_16_series#Desktop
they're similarly specced for the most part, but they are different… most significantly, the transistor count, die size, and NVENC support change depending on the SKU.

I have an msi laptop with a 3060 on it for 800 dollars… No excuse for using a 1650 rn lol
It's hilarious that as the video went on I realized that Linus was just building my exact rig down to a T (only difference: Gigabyte Aorus Pro B660M, 750W PSU, also my GTX 1650 is the GDDR6 version).

my Laptop has a 10750h cpu and a 1660ti at 1080p 120hz and it's great to game on comparing to my desktop with a 10700k,3080ti and a 175hz 3440×1440 qd oled display i thoroughly enjoy gaming on either of them! Sure my desktop is much more immersive and can run games much better but i've yet to find a game that my laptop can't handle. The majority out there can barely afford to build pc's now due to inflation not only in the pc market but in household costs like energy prices in the UK wich are horrific right now. my next upgrade will likely be cpu but not until maybe 14th or 15th gen intel. I have no plans to upgrade my laptop for a long time and i will be keeping my 3080ti for a few more years.

Have no sense to buy budget Nvidia graphic card wgen you can buy RX 6600 for 200 dollars.

got an msi infinite S i5 10400 with 500gb ssd,16Gb ram and 450w flex psu used for 350€ las year, rtx 3060 new for 450€, and this winter a nice 2x16Gb of DDR4 for 100€ so you could build a very nice average pc for less than 900€ if you give it time, patience and research

Totally agree with you Linus my pc has just 2.7ghz 8c 16t and works amazing got a rtx 2060 works amazing all watercooled apart from gpu 8tb of storage on an old mechanical hd. 1tb on m.2 and my pc runs ultra on all 2k games apart from crisis love my pc barley use it got a steam deck sit in bed with my nreal glasses drinking whisky rocking my JBL Quantum ONE headphones…….amazing pc collects dust now lol
So the "average" gaming PC is about as powerful as an Xbox Series S. And people say the Series S is holding games back! It's a great console in a tiny silent form factor for £200 (includes controller). Can't beat it for value, especially if you only want to play F2P games since you don't need Xbox Live Gold anymore.
I have ASUS RX6600xt with 16gbx3200mhz RAM, and it shreds every game on ultra with very high fps on 1080p. You can even game on 1440p without major problems

I Would Recommend You Guys Pick Up a 1660Super OC from MSI those Cards are priced like 20 to 30 bucks more than the 1650 but the performance is night and day between the cards

Oof, the 1650 is the new norm. Which means many people just don't play on high settings anymore, because many games require stronger GPUs even at 1080p
Building budget gaming PCs is basically dead. You could grab a used PC with an i5 10400,RTX 2070 for 600$. New budget parts are simply way overpriced.
Still rocking my gtx 1060 6gb OC and it's still great for 1080p. I can easily get 50fps in modern titles on high settings.
my brother have that pc a i5 12400f whit 16gb of ram but whit a 1050ti instead a 1650 the old cpu was a xeon of 2009 that is very slow 4/8 at 2.6ghz

lol, ive got TR2 600W 9 years in my system, had several power cuts, no UPS and it did just fine.
I have a 1650 mainly because it’s the best passively cooled GPU you can get. A Palit KalmX.

In the past anew computer ive built felt outdadted wthin a year. Well last year I went with a laptop, MSI GE67HX with a 12900 + 3080ti + 32GB DDR5. Looks like this setup will last me quite a bit longer. That said it was ungodly expensive and if I didnt need a laptop for travel a self- built Desktop PC with the same components would have even more gaming power…
