Ha, I'm building the high end pc with just some different products (ie. Fractal design ion+ 860p instead of the RM850X)
Asus raised their prices on their cards. I know this, because I was watching for the 3080 Rog Strix – White Edition, which was originally listed and sold as $879.99 (I saved a screen shot) and is now $1,049.99. That's a $170 difference. Word on the street is, that this is not their only card that's seemed to increase by $100. So, scalpers now have cards they paid a lot less for and can now raise the prices even higher, and those of us who were waiting on cards from the manufacturer, are still going to have to cut off a limb to pay for even a damn 3070. That's dirty, and we need to talk about it.
I want PC Centric to teach me Everything. I could honestly listen to him give a three hour long seminar and I'd be invested in every word. I don't know if it's his voice or my extremely unhealthy attraction to skinny, smart, funny dudes with accents, that remind me vaguely of Stephen Merchant.

Depending on where you are, you can get new Intel 9700K or 9900K for a very good price as they're slowly being phased out. Same for their motherboards. Sure, it may not be the bleeding edge of performance but those are still extremely capable chips that will keep you satisfied for years to come.
Watched a couple of your videos as I'm plucking up courage to do my first build. I want to edit video and play MSFS 2020 so it'll be a system based around the 3080. Can't quite afford it yet so I'm happy to wait another month or so. Is there any sign of the shortages being sorted by Feb 2021? Subscribed.
