Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
Yep, gonna keep my previous gen Ryzen for a little longer lol
Any AMD or Intel cpu with a TDP above 65watts ime should come with a coupon for $30 off a Scythe ninja cooler๐๐.
Very descent video dude.
Thankyou from Albuquerque USA
me with a computer that takes 700 seconds to get to the windows screen:๐๐๐
Is the "Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX" compatible with AM5? ๐
I got a cpu cooler to work by measuring the stand off hieght and I used a MB stand off to get the right distance and then installed the rest of the mounting hardware and it worked great, even looks good, just didn't use the backplate that came with the cooler.
5 minutes or so to check memory? I remember when it took almost that long to launch internet explorer ๐
I bought a Ryzen 9 7950x and is currently planning on buying a new gpu of RTX 3070ti, you think it's overkill or should be fine?
i realy thank for you basic language. a lots of ppl in the world watching you and i think you give us that what we want to get in the simplest way. A lot of yt tech guiders speaking to fast for me. Very thx for that, rll greatful.
So…does it keep doing that FOREVER on every single fking cold boot (which is what I'm going to use every day in the morning for 9 years – one hopes)?
Update BIOS once (I don't really want to keep messing with it)…let it go for 5 minutes (32gb spread on 2 sticks, only 2 I got)…and then…isn't there some "remember settings to the last detail" BIOS setting?
Also, why the hell did I find someone complain it takes 20-40s to start from cold boot? What the f is the BIOS battery for if not to keep power so it doesn't forget settings?
Also, also, if I get an ASUS TUF B650-PLUS and AMD Expo Vengeance 32GB Dual Channel DDR5 and I have NO spare parts or RAM, how do I go about things?
DO I flash BIOS without CPU or RAM (can I?) or do I just add everything (CPU, RAM, SSD, Cooler) and then do it…and pray? What if it doesn't boot? I DO NOT WANT to have to remove CPU, preferably EVER, and NOT THE COOLER either (like for 5 years+ after I put in it).
Does the damn thing start of with Expo activated? And why even use expo…I just want the damn thing to work at 6000MT 36-36-36-76 at 1.35v (what it says on the ram)? Does expo try to get it to work at ….say 30-36-32-36-76 at 1.4V or what?
My MSI b650m mortar wifi, loaded gskill 6000 fx5 fine no issues. It loads app fast I didnt even notice the screen saver went on after a minute of no activity cause I liked at my phone.
AMD is bad with software, intel for me
Glad I am only putting in 2x8GB of RAM. Very helpful video as I am putting my PC together in a few days. I will trey not to bite my finger nails
Try the ram boot twice watch the boot be faster
Great info
Don't matter to me , because i rarely restart maybe once a week tops. So i ordered a 7600x with 32GB of 6000 CL32 memory and a x670 Gigabyte Gaming X MB.
can someone recommend me a good Motherboard? first time im going to build a AMD PC, btw im going with the Ryzen 9 7700x
Thats AMD, never working well
Have booting problems TridentZ5 RGB 5600 cl 36, Ryzen 7600x, MSI B650m MAG Wifi around 30-40 seconds booting/rebooting. Dram Ez Debug LED light.
ASUS X670E-E also has the long post, sits on Q code 15 for about 2-3 mins with 64 GB RAM. Does this only on first post. Once OS is installed, it's an instant boot. Though changing a setting in the BIOS will do another long first post and is fine after. Kinda annoying but apparently it's a process to tune the memory for best performance.
It through me for a loop at first, thought I got a dead motherboard. Would have been nice to have a display saying it's tuning memory and may take a few minutes.
I wasn't planning on upgrading to AM5 until the x3D cache versions came out, but with the price cuts for Black Friday I end up getting a Ryzen 7950x for $180. How did I get it for $180, well the CPU was $549.99 – $292.01 Gift Card I had forgot I had on the account -$77.35 in Reward Points brought my total to $180.63. I got an AM5 Motherboard off Newegg for $149.99, ASROCK RIPTIDE, and some Team T-Force Vulcan 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 5600 for $129.99. Guess all I need now is a RTX 4090 or a 7900xtx.
I just bought the motherboard and ryzen 5 7600x cpu :/ does it suck?
The EXPO profile slow boot unfortunately still exists. I am using the ASRock B650E PG-ITX WIFI board. Asrock has no idea how to fix it. Assuming this is an Agesa issue?
After reading the comment about the expo i remembered i bought the intel expo for ryzen which was giving me the same issues you're experiencing. Had to rebuy the memory with the amd expo
That expo profile is tied to the xmp profile and if you choose intel instead of amd or vice versa you're going to run into these problems. I had to order a new set of memory after i saw your video twice or three times and did the error 15 code lookup which was tied to the memory
It's the expo profile. I bought the intel profile thinking there shouldn't be any issues with ryzen but i been getting the same problems you are. Had to reorder a new set of memory one specifically designed for amd expo profile. The manufacturers are making two sets now one for intel and one for amd to force consumers to spend even more money if they decide to switch platforms
I'm going with AMD (7950x) for the 1st time in 10 years of building and I will be installing the EK Quantum Veloicity water block as the cooling solution. This is good information to know before starting the build, especially since I am not familiar with the AMD platform.
did you match memory to approved amd am5 memory
64 Zoo Lane! That takes me back
I really wish I would have seen this video before calling Asus and wasting an hour with tech support who had no idea what they were doing (literally putting me on hold to do โresearchโ for 3/4 of the call) then sending back a perfectly good motherboard. Wow. This boot time has been driving me crazy. My AM4 setup had me on YouTube 17 seconds after hitting the power button, now my boot time is 150 seconds. ๐
A question: while waiting for the system to recognise the DDR5, did you notice the red led on the motherboard for CPU and RAM? Cause I've just bought RYZEN 7 7700X and ASROCK X670E motherboard and that happened. Of course, I shutted it down immediately. I've checked the CPU and the pins in the socket and everything looks fine. Right now I'm remounting everything.
Your answer would be very useful. Thank you. This is a great video to answer to many problems.
Hopefully by the time Iโm ready to build my new pc these issues will be ironed out.
Those boot time and bios issues are unacceptable!
The RAM isn't running at 6000Mhz……it's running at 3000Mhz…….it's just at a Double Data Rate so it's accomplishes two things per pass.
7900x/7950x AM5 gets out performed by AM4 and Intel in games. I have the 7900x and 4090. It's getting beaten badly by AM4/Intel builds with the 4090. AM5 is awful.
"At the moment you "basically" Kant. That's not to say that you Kant do it." You just said we Kant do it.
Is the razer Hanbo cooler compatible with the asrock x670e Taichi motherboard?
Wow, that long first boot only happens the first time you boot, acting like it happens every time is dishonest.
Did you find a fix for the slow boot up time? (not first boot)
Is anyone else having this issue?
Iโm still planning on going with am5
If that's all, I come from time with hdd and windows 95 ๐ , I just ordered 7700x with the asus prime x670 p.
I'm still running a i7 4790k and it's time for a upgrade
is it even worth it to get the new AMD CPU's
40 secs to boot up is a no go not any amd ty
This dude is clueless. DIY PC is about tweaking. You first need to set the MB up in BIOS and then, when it's done, including RAM, you have to enable the enhanced Fast Boot and bind it through Windows WHQL standard. In this state, there won't be no memory training and other checks happening no more at startup, but you'll also need to do this again after any HW changes. That's why OEM systems and notebooks start in like 2-3 seconds, because this is all done in manufacturing. It's sad that you need to explain this to "PC Centric" channel with half a million subscribers.
comprei um ryzen 9 5950x sai o 7950x
Your opening statement about the 7950X system being the most powerful gaming pc you can build is WRONG!!!!!! It has been proven over and over again that the 5800X3D is much faster in almost all games, than the 7950x. Also, the time it is taking for your system to setup new RAM is the system doing timing tests to get the best and tightest settings. NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL!!! Lastly, EVERYTHING is made more difficult in putting together a new system when you use a pos Asrock mobo… Do some more homework…
The ONLY thing I found useful in this entire vid is the part about the coolers maybe not fitting. So for that, I thank you.
Ok thx ill wait for the 8000
What if you took PC tech and mixed it with annoying editing/dialogue geared towards annoying zoomers.. I imagine it would come out something like this.
great video – thanks for the info. I anticipate a few more problems with the new 7000 series. I think I will wait a bit before switching over. I do have a Bios question – is the bios for a prebuilt system generally different from the DIY type build (I ended up with a 5800x cpu from a prebuilt and it won't run on my 550 board) I swapped ram, updated to the latest bios, I did that a few times…. I ended up swapping to a different cpu but still would like to use the 5800x in another build – just wondering if it could be a bios issue
thanks
