Update! The speakers on the Z Fold 3 came back to life thanks to fixmyspeakers.com but the fingerprint reader is still not working after our pool experiment.

Did she ever bother to do an update? I would like to know if the speakers and print scanner returned to normal.
I took my Note 20 Ultra into a pool the first week I got it. Swam around and made goofy underwater videos with it for hours. Still have it 2 years later. Works just fine.
Ordered the Fold 4.
Dam.. so i got sand stuck inside the hinges of my fold 3 and was recommended to dunk it in water and shake it around to loosen the sand. Im assuming after this test that I SHOULD be fine… right?

The galaxy watches come with a water mode to where after you are done swimming, it can let off a high pitched pinging tone to help push water out of the speakers….the phones obviously weren't made to go swimming with, but you would think they would have put that feature in these phones as well.

The water test is reasonable if you lost the phone in the sea. No one will put their phone in the water for 5 minutes intentionally.
Did the speakers come back to life after a few days?
What about the screen protector did it come off
Unfortunately, I just took mine, Zfold 3, in the pool for like 3-5 secs and I did not even fully submerge it, but about 10 minutes later, it made a hissing noise and just died.
I think if tested in sea water would be giving a real result. 🤔
