Currently building a 7700x myself. But since I'm trying to do it as budget as possible, I'm going with the riptide wifi cheap as mobo, arctic freezer a35 argb cpu cooler, 32 gigs of ddr5 5600 ram and going to use my current 1060 until I can see the prices and performance of the rx 7600xt, 7700xt and the 4060 lol. Just need to see what kinda psu to get as well. Apparently my current 10 year old 650w coolermaster gx psu is missing some power cable but will still work Apparently according to pc part picker lol, so will probably need to get a new psu just incase xD. Using the metallic gear neo air case.

  1. Looks clean 👍🏼

  2. are am4 coolers compatible with the new am5 processors? I wasnt aware that was the case.

  3. rx6700xt priced same as RTX 3060 in my country

  4. I’ve built my X670E 7700x pc yesterday and it did not show any image via my HDMI. I waited maybe 20+ sec. Should I wait more like you did in this video? Because everything else buttons lights etc worked perfectly fine

  5. I wonder how a 3070 ti would go with this build

  6. Really loved watching this as I'm in the process of building a very similar 7700X 6700 XT build, but with an Asus ROG Strix B650E-F, and 32GB of GSkill Trident Z 5 Neo RGB DDR5 6000 with the expo settings. Video Card is an XFX Swft RX 6700 XT, an ASUS ROG Thor 850 psu, and I'm using a black Thermaltake Core P6 running without the glass on the top and front but the fan frames left on for mounting of up to 13 case fans. (front 3, top 3, bottom 3, side 3, rear 1) Going with some Antec P12 RGB's for the cooling and lighting. I figure the 6700 XT will hold me over nicely until I can afford another GPU upgrade. 🥲 Still coming from an old workhorse of an FX 8370 and an R9 380 4GB the jump I'm going to be seeing in performance should be incredible!

That is the mobo I was recommended but a lot of early user review is that it takes forever to post which scared me but watching your video help calm a lot of the fear I had. But ya that feels like terrible usablity wise.

One question, I'm building mostly a new pc but I plan to move over my old m.2 since it has like my windows on it and everything. Does it matter what slot I put that m.2 in? Because I brought a new 2tb one too.

  7. I noticed you used the XMP silver Ram. Not the black Expo Ram. Were there any issues setting it up? I have a lot of these parts. But got the Black Expo version Ram (the silver would look better)

  8. Hi Marcus , where did you get the AIO tube comb/clips from? Ty

  9. Can anyone tell me the name of the application being used to monitor gpu/cpu temps & utilization?

  10. AMAZING PC

I just finished building this set up only thing I did change was the psu for mwe 850 watts. My gpu might be the bad one from the batch because on occasions screen flickers on Home Screen and when I go in games everything is just really slow n looks really bad so was just wondering what’s a better gpu I can get for this setup with exception of the psu being mwe 850…….1st time builder😅

  11. Bottleneck 😑

  12. Ryzen 7700x can be air-cooled, 240 or 280 liquid is not really necessary.

  13. I’m the guy who games in 4k with a 6700xt. Why cause that what my monitor is and could afford. Yeah would be nice to have 120hz 1440p. That’s all could afford at the time. 😢

  14. @PC Centric , Did you have any issues during initial setup? Seems like a lot of people are running into EXPO issues that cause the system to become unstable. Thanks!

  15. Great Video! I’ve been watching off and on since 2016! I love the set up and growth plus your personality keeps the videos entertaining! Keep up the great work, I definitely enjoy watching your content! Idk if you have a merch shop but if you do I gotta show some support!

  16. Is 240mm radiator enough for this CPU? Got 7700x, motherboard arrives in a week or so. I was thinking of getting kraken x53. I have my old case that only supports 240mm radiator length. So if I would have to buy x73 not only I'd pay way more for AIO itself, but i'd need new case for it as well:/
I hate seeing 93-94c in cinebench though. The question will I really be seeing these kind of temps not in benchmarks? The hardest work that my PC will be doing is running games. I'll also try to undervolt it a bit as well, but if these kind of temps will be appearing on regular basis even in games then I'd have no choice but to buy new case with 360mm 3 fan AIO :/

  17. Thanks for running those cpu intensive simulation games. I rarely see those in reviews.

  18. Almost the exact build I am doing only mine is black/gray and with the XFX 6800xt Merc319.

  19. 2:45 WTF? Bad AMD? Bad Asrock maybe
