My pc turned on first try. then I put a m.2 in and now it won’t display
I was helping fix my friends new pc and all I had to do was turn on the PC by flicking the switch on the back. Thank for reminding me of that
I've got a tricky one for you. Just built my son a computer (this isn't my first time), and when I hit the power button or even tried to jump the power pins nothing happens. No lights, no fans, no speaker beeps…nothing. I have double and triple checked that everything is plugged in properly and also jumped the power supply to verify that it spins up and is working. So since everything seems like it should be working and the power supply was verified good, I assumed it must be a bad motherboard. But lo and behold after replacing the motherboard I still get no power just as before. Any ideas? Could it be just a bad rail within the power supply?
I was swapping cases and I thought I did everything and it still didn’t turn on. Then I found your video, and within the first minute you talked about the you and I swear I had the biggest holy shit moment in human history. I didn’t have it plugged in. Thanks so much

kinda weird but I had to take out one of my ram sticks
I have a weird problem in my computer it wont boot on the first time, but the first time ill try to turn it on i leave it there for 20 to 30 min then i turn it off and on again and it does boot, it works for sure but it is kinda annoying.

Anybody know why my pc is having a black screen after I go on for a little bit of time? Then when it goes black I drain the power and turn it on but I still have a black screen and the pc is looking okay physically.

I've just built my first PC, plugged it in, turned it on and aside from the power light being on and all fans spinning, nothing seems to be doing anything. Doesn't connect to my monitor and none of the RGB lights are on.
I watched this even though my Pc actually starts with my first time build ever. I tried to turn on the power supply only lol and the mobo only turns on I was so stressed and later on I press the power button on my pc then it turns on lol I was so dumb.
You just earned a sub dude. Five hours of troubleshooting the PC I built my dad and this video finally solved it. First time I’d vertically mounted a GPU and didn’t realize I had to change the PCIE interface with the riser cable 😅… you’d think vert mount kits would come with some kind of disclaimer!!

My problem is that it will start and then immediately freeze. I also can’t turn it off without completely powering it off if I just try to shut it down or restart it just freezes on the blue screen and never turns off

Bought a used Win 10 pc from someone who told me it had previously twice failed to boot/display after having physically moved it (from one house to another). Sure enough, when I got it home, it failed to display on my monitor. Seller told me to remove GPU, RAM and CMOS battery. After putting them back, no change. He then told me to do it again, but this time also disconnect the HDD, DVD and SSD along with the previous items. That worked! Because I could see at least one m/b standoff/screw was missing, I suspect its improper installation causes the m/b to touch the case when it is being moved. Now if I can only find someone who knows what they're doing building pc's. 🙂
