I went for a series SE basically because when I went to the shops I basically asked and this is before I even seen this video that what is the difference between the SE and the other Apple watches because I could only really afford the SE and basically I was not prepared to pay more for a watch that could basically do the things that I needed a watch to be able to do and I really wanted an Apple Watch. I did not need the always on display and I did not need faster charging as I would probably be just putting it on charge every night and would only been using the sleep tracker every now and again I think at this point so basically the Se was the one for me. and now after many years always wanting an Apple Watch I now have one.
Got an Apple Watch SE for Christmas, was generally not that sold on smart watches when they first came out. It’s my first time having a smartwatch. Went to the Apple shop yesterday to compare and contrast between the SE and the series 8 – I decided to continue with the SE and already I’m really enjoying. Ordered a new strap, and a pretty Swarovski accessory for the bezels. 😊
Just got the Series 6 about 3 months ago. Debated on getting a 7. But decided against it. May get a new watch on a few yrs though
Series 8 has stainless steel, that’s all the information I really need to decide I want the series 8 😂

Always on, a keyboard and additional health apps is something most people don’t need. Better materials is a plus but that doesn’t necessarily translate to a better deal
One thing that sucks about SE it does not have a keyboard by apple you have to pay 7$ for a keyboard option by a 3rd party wish I would’ve known this before I bought it.
I would’ve liked the O2 monitoring, but that was out of my price range. I wish the bezels would’ve been a bit thinner on the SE so it would be easier to read off of. I’m older, sight is not what it used to be. I for me the larger sized watch I find too bulky. But it’s the only “con” for me. The heart rate monitor is very accurate. And that was the main reason for me to get a smartwatch. I can easily make a full day with this. So I’m very content with it!

got the SE as someone who thought smart watches weren’t useful but i looove it and it feels so weird to go out without it now. the battery does only last like 1.5 days which is ok i guess
Nice overall comparison between the two. I was also stuck between saving costs and going for the best one for a longer run. My deciding factor is the fast charging. Twice as fast irl. If you’re like me and want to charge your watch only while taking a shower, go for series 8. If this is none of your concern, save your bucks.
For me it was definitely the AW8 for the dust protection because I work in a foundry
If you got a series 6/7 you can only downgrade if you go with the SE lol
Apple Store rep insisted the SE also had the QWERTY keyboard lol.
Also it doesn’t have the iPhone watch mirroring feature.
Last, I find the watch face scuffs up very easily. My series one doesn’t have any scuffs on it at all.
These 3 things, had I known, would have changed me to a series 8…
I would recommend series 7. Same features, great chip and performance, great price.
If you are new then buy the apple watch SE(2020) it's cheaper than the latest version(2022). There's literally no difference except the chip. Offers the same features.
I'd only consider an Apple Watch the day it has Android compatibility. I won't use iPhones.
I would rather buy a tissot or maybe inc my budget and get a iwc watch
Battery life is always a killer for me with Apple Watches, that’s why I always stick to Garmin watches. My Garmin watch literally lasts 5 days without charge. Until Apple can make their watches last at least 3 days, I’m not even going to consider buying one. They’re nice watches though TBH
With the SE will you see notifications or texts without a cellular plan if your phone is near?

Still trying to figure out what the point of owning an Apple Watch would be. Don’t need it to tell the time, don’t need it to play music, don’t need it to see notifications. Doesn’t seem to serve any useful purpose that the phone doesn’t already serve.
