pretty sure people called out Apple for purposefully holding back their technology literally only a few years into its existence. I was maybe in middle school when it was already abundantly clear, that even a layman like me could tell. after only 2-3 Iphones they already began a very obviously intentional descent in some features in order to better them in "later" generations. that is, 6 months later. this whole industry is an absolute joke.
even if Apple products are good, I refused to buy them for years strictly on principle. if you feed that industry it will keep expending. and lo and behold – it has. now I am looking for a drawing tablet and I am hovering over the new 2022 ipad because procreate is such a big deal these days, but even now everything they do is holding me back, because there are simple features even this model is lacking, for NO REASON. and the cost… at that cost I can just buy a better drawing tablet and a new smartphone and a camera to cover all that I could have gotten from that one ipad. I would have paid that price if they made it right, but there are so many (intentional) "faults" that still steer me off wanting to spend that kind of money.

I‘m using the iPad Pro 2021 11" mainly for school, but also for work, and I‘m surprised what it can do for school, but disappointed with professional apps and games. I use the Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard.
1st – Disappointed about Python. I love Python – but there are just some weird counterfeits that I can use and I hate it.
2nd – Yeah, I got a keyboard. And Minecraft supports keyboards. But just not mine.
3rd – The Magic Keyboard is getting kinda weird, now it‘s stuck on QWERTY while I‘d like to use QWERTZ as I am german. With the swap of Z and Y, I get used to it, but things like _, -, :, ., ,, – they changed. And I hate it. As well as ä, ö, ü and ß.
4th – After WWDC 2022, I was happy that there were with iOS 16 so many new useful features for me! Finally support for my Pro Controller (which I bought a year ago only to realise my phone doesn‘t support it), extending displays… but why are they coming just now and not as the iPad 2021 launched?
But I‘m still happy with my iPad Pro.

you are so right … Apple just love to control de technological progress of their users .
I am an iPad user. Knowing some Microsoft apps such as Word and PowerPoint being installable still comes handy since office work is still like a task I do. Forgetting about those apps, I got to say that even for kids this isn't something a kid should even use since the pro itself will just only come in handy if you have cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity for certain apps. When a person has connectivity, they can watch videos on apps similar to Netflix. The last thing I can say is only if a student needs an iPad just to take a course or use it for taking class notes (especially if the device is only a requirement), then I'd say it's something to go for since you don't need to write or read small script on any other small mobile device.
