Pixel 4a takes the win
I just purchased the Pixel 4a and the camera takes great pictures without all the fuss. Most of us don't want to mess with advanced settings. Google's software analyzes the scene and takes the best shot possible. I am enjoying both the front and rear camera.

Both of these phones are fantastic
i'll say this again, i don't think people should compare pixel 4a's price to iphone se 64gb version's. yes, pixel 4a costs $349 with 128gb, while iphone se at $400 comes with… 64gb.
why reviewers don't tell their audiences that for iphone se to match pixel 4a, they have to pay more.

4a and se are better than each other in different ways. its really a tie. one phone is 50 dollars cheaper and the other will have more support, but will probably get bottlenecked by apple over time. i would say that i actual trust google more than i would for iphone.

Especially because of the mic, but for vlogs and lighter video recording, the iPhone is a good choice for the budget oriented beginner videographers. For photography, I'd say that the Pixel 4a still wins, even with the mid-range SoC and considering that it doesn't have an image processing chip like its big brothers, the 4 and 4XL.
