Cardboard isnt the same as gunk in the pipes. I've used green gobbler a few times and it's worked pretty good. So.etimes had to do it twice, but it worked.

Let me tell you what really works for free do both sides of the kitchen sink about halfway old rubberized cap over the drain side not the garbage disposal side holding you down very tightly turn on garbage disposal the power of the garbage disposal can have the power to clear the clog repeat as necessary this could take up to 10 times or more but it's better than paying a plumber and I was one
Let me tell you if you pressurize the pipes underneath your average kitchen sink unless you're a plumber you'll be calling one

Take the p trap off, dump the water from the p trap, fill p trap with said soap, put p trap back on, run water thru p trap…… P trap fully purged
