  1. I switch my rtx 3060 to a amd rx 6800 xt whit ryzen 9 5900x and I gain so mich preformece xD

  2. i swear this man has the smoothest sponsor introduction

  3. Not me with a I7-7700k and a 3080…..

  4. if i have a i5 9th gen and a rtx 3060 am i bottlenecked?

  5. Had to downvote for the way you said Ghz, I'm sorry

  6. Well, my Ryzen 5 4600g and my RTX 2060 SUPER combo has a 0.4% of bottleneck… Rate..? Idk.

    Is that still a bottleneck?

  7. I really like the discussion going on in this video. I have watched it probably 3 times since it came out. However, the more I think about it, I'm not sure "bottleneck" is the right word…I think "processing latency" or "cpu core load level" might be a better description. What I mean by these words is framerate is essentially a timing problem. The less time it takes you to complete a computation, the better…and ultimately getting higher framerates (unless your GPU is fully loaded) can frequently come down to how much dead time between frames the CPU takes to perform all the directX/opengl calls. Would it maybe be useful to further characterize and correlate framerate differences systems to cache latency and other more advanced metrics inside the CPU? There are a ton of performance counters that Intel uses for internal development that might tell us more…I looked into their open source tool for this one time, but using it was very difficult without a manual.

  8. Is a i7 core 12700f good?

  9. @ 5:23 I'm dead ass on the floor laughing shout out to the editor that's funny af 😂🤣😅😂

  10. Linus: you will never have to upgrade your PSU.

NVidia in 2022: hold my beer

  11. I have an i3 5thgen with a3050ti no bottle neck 😅

  12. I have an rtx 4090 with a i5 5200u that’s not a bottleneck right

  13. My first bottleneck is my wallet…. Next upgrade will, for me, be hillarius expencive. It will start with new monitors (I´m still on 1920×1080)
    My setup :
    Motherboard MSI Z97 GAMING 7
CPU Intel core i7 4790K (so only win10)
    RAM 4x 8GB Kingston DDR3
GPU MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G
    Monitors BenQ XL2720T, BenQ XL2410T, BenQ V2400W

It still performs well, for me ofc wit the monitors not in 4K. But it runs all newer games.

  14. 8:13 Ok, wtf are those results? I would have tried manually assigning like 4 cores to the game on the i5 and i9. Windows scheduler clearly doesn't know what the hell it is doing.

  15. 2:49 you mean an extra 10 threads? The i5 has 6 and the i9 has 16.

  16. the Segway always gets me

  17. 4:30 I would have gone with "Look at this photo of a graph"

  18. UNLIMITED POWAH

  19. This is one year later but an xt6700 only has a 10 percent bottleneck with my 3600 according to the internet.

  20. Idk if its a waste jumping from a gtx 1060 3gb to an rtx 3070 linus

  21. seasonic review?

  22. That's a great explanation! Nice job Linus!

  23. I’m bottlenecked by my case air flow

  24. Yall should do a video on HOW to find bottlenecks.

  25. I have an ancient Intel 3770K (4.4ghz OC) with 16GB DDR3-2166 and I upgraded from a 1050 Ti 4GB to a 6650 XT 8GB and went from 60-ish fps in Planetside 2 and 50-60 fps in 7 Days to Die to 80-100 fps depending where I am looking in the game and the action at the time. Both games are set to ultra graphics settings. So even an ancient quad-core can still game well with a decent modern graphics card.

  26. Jiggahertz.

  27. In most modern games, CPU usage is minuscule compared to GPU usage. It would be awesome if game developers and game engine designers could somehow figure out a way to better utilize the power of a multi-core CPU.

If more CPU cores could eventually equate to a linear increase in game performance, upgrading from an 8 core to a 12 core processor could theoretically result in up to 50% performance gains. Some kind of protocol which would allow the GPU to directly and efficiently leverage extra CPU cores would give tons of people drastically better gaming performance overnight because most pc gaming enthusiasts tend to use CPU’s that are relatively high end yet largely underutilized in games. I think that’s essentially the idea behind AMD’s “SAM” technology, now that I think of it.

I know the performance gains aren’t massive but AMD is definitely on the right track.

  28. What abput PCIe versions

  29. We need a video of how to look for bottlenecks in our systems.

  30. $70 usd for a pillow? the LTT prices are out of this world over priced.goodness me

  31. have not playeed LOL in years

  32. my bottleneck currently is my monitor xD but that was to be expected, I am gonna get a better monitor later

  33. Bottleneck hahs it's a fkn straw

  34. good nerd talk, still need a troubleshoot guide though

  35. Lmao wtf did I really just sit and wait thru for a answer to never get one 🤦

  36. i have a 3060ti zotac twin edge and a ryzen 7 3700x & 16gb ram 3200mhz DDR4 motherboard and when i play certain intense games such as Warzone my fps is so bad I struggle to get 70+ fps on all low settings – is my cpu bottlenecking my gpu ( my milliseconds times in game are GPU:6ms and CPU 15-16ms) ?

  37. I lost it at the nickelback reference
