I primarily have Google in my home, however I purchased a new Apple HomePod Mini (11/6/2021) and asked it these same questions. (Batman, Smoked Turkey, Sun and the weight of an apple). The Apple HomePod Mini answered each of them just as well as the Amazon Dot and the Google Mini. (There must have been recent improvements).
Rubbish: HomePod mini clearly answers the weight of apple and sun’s distance. I don’t know how it didn’t answer specifically at your end

If you have iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 Siri will totally answer all these answers and Siri actually gets updated on like Alexa and Google assistant and evening Google and Alexa get updated it’s not as much as Siri does Siri gets updated every year and they will support her every year that they have the device out so if the device is out for 10 years of support HomePod for 10 yearsIn iOS 15 she will be better trust me I have the HomePod mini and iOS 15 is great on my iPad and I use my HomePod mini and she’s way smarter than my original Google home the original Google home or all google homes and Alexa don’t know anything about take care of you but if you ask about him on the HomePod she’ll tell you immediately anything you wanna know about them so when it comes to knowing about people Siri knows way more and I was 15 and bolts on the other two combined

Mera favourite Hai echo dot 4th generation Alexa. Bahut hi Kamal Ka device hai. Echo dot 4th generation Alexa ka dam hai 4956. Mein Alexa speaker kharidunga bahut kamal ka device hai. Jo jo command Dete Hain vah command ko pura kar leta hai. Ek awaaz mein hi Sun leta hai Alexa. Bahut Achcha electronic device hai.
Still will go for google nest mini.

I think CNET is rather underselling the importance of both sound quality and SECURITY in this test. I also prefer Apple's method of engagement that encourages people to look more deeply into a question themselves rather than the hand-holding of the other "assistants". Apple wins for me.

I have got the OLD google home mini, the one before Google bought Nest…
But Siri’s voice is so soothing
You failed to compare the skills or so called apps that you can add on to your device !!! Kind of important because it gives you functionality and ability to do things
🤨 $50 for a dot? They are $30 as long as I can remember
There is no easy way to actually play music on Echo. Doesn’t work like a Bluetooth speaker. Use voice commands only. HomePod wins.
I don’t think this is a fair comparison the echo dot goes on sale all the time for around $25 and the google goes one sale for 30 – 40 while the apple will be fixed cost of $100
