Don’t like how they say it’s cheaper but don’t state why, Dropping g-sync would make a monitor significantly cheaper
DWF came in yesterday. It cost twice as much as my last monitor. It looks infinitely better than my last monitor.
It’s seriously f#cking stupid how good this looks.
My only complaint is that it’s not 38 inches. (That’s what she said.)
I just pulled the trigger tonight to get the F version of this monitor… never had a decent HDR experience or OLED experience on a bigger screen than my Switch OLED, cannot wait to see how this goes 😀
Got a MacBook 2019 off my partner for free and I’ve loved every minute of it. Love the feel and the fact all my Apple devices connect so much I haven’t touched my newer laptop from work outside of work hours. The screen is amazing and speakers so good. Plus it asks me if I want to use my AirPods when I get them out of the case

OLED monitor choices ftw lol! I think the DWF is the one for me. The new LG's are tempting but either I'm stuck at 27" 1440p 240hz or low ppi with the 45".
I'm so glad I watched this. I didn't know there were two models and since I have a 6900 XT, this is clearly the model to get.
I've decided to use an old 32" ips as the desktop and have the oled panel blank black and only really put games / video on it. Occasionally throw the browser on there if using for a few minutes. No image retention so far with that strategy.
I had the DWF with a 3070ti, in windows it said the peak brightness is 465nits. And in windows HDR calibration it clips around 500nits. I also have a DW which didn’t have this issue. Are there anyone who have the same issues as I do. Cause it’s frustrating that can’t have the full functionality the money I’m paying for 😢

So if I were to buy the Gsync version today, would it be updated with the latest firmware addressing the problems?
The DW is better than the DWF, but to release it with all these issues, and then not have a way to fix it just seems really shady, especially at that price…
So one is better out of the box, but is white. And the other is black and can be updated….so maybe it can one day handle hdr as good as the ugly white one. Sigh.
The Nvidia scaler just adds price. Huge win for Free Sync.

I ve had the aw3423dw since launch and decided to try aw3423dwf as everyone was saying it s just as good with an Nvidia card and less noisy.
It’s absolute horse shit! The DW is absolutely butter smooth in games with really great colours in both hdr 400 and 1000.
The DWF was mostly garbage. Colours don’t look so accurate and good in hdr 400 and in hdr 1000 it’s absolute garbage. I would have not been able to keep this screen even if it was free.
G-sync worked in one out 5 games. Stutter, tear all over the place in 4 out of 5. Rubbish.
People who say it s as good as DW are just ignorant people with too much time on their hands and very very small tiny brains.
Hmmm gsync ultimate is so dumb. My Sony A95K QDOLED blows my AW3423DW out of the water. HDR does not look better on a GSYNC ultimate monitor. Straight scam I’d say

I'd rather just save $300 and get the bigger 42" LG C2 if I wanted a big oled monitor. They need to make a 27" 1440p oled monitor at a reasonable price.
