  1. CPU costs about 480€ in retail, so who would get a 1100€ upgrade? It's ways cheaper to buy a new one, possibly while taking over the nvme

  2. What about Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G2 Vs. Framework Laptop?

  3. love this more of this for artists

  4. (People from the uk should understand this) the bulge in your pants shouldn’t be from your wallet… hmm 😂😂

  5. I want a framework laptop with amd

  6. What I haven't found so far (admittedly without searching everywhere possible) : Is the connection between the port modules and the laptop proprietary or is it a standard usb-c/thunderbolt connection? Meaning could one use more than four modules using an usb-c hub or something similar? And can one just swap them while using the laptop like just swaping the ethernet module for the SD-Card module or does one have to shut the laptop down and reboot??

    Everything’s good accept the logo

  7. I love the idea totally.
But i was skeptical when the video started, but then I realise that I have an old dell gaming laptop which is still quite powerful without a display, the wifi card was bad as well. And the hinges are totally crap because the chassis is a crap. So I would potentially benefit from framework too. So I hope these guys can make some difference. Linus is an idea machine and i really think it will go well.

  8. Thats why i like Linus video's, total chaos.

  9. How much money do this man has? Xd

  10. I see that Linus has adopted a full blown vocal fry 🤦‍♂

  11. I have a sincere question. Are this upgraded parts covered by the warranty? If yes, that’s really sick. But if you have to buy the upgrades, I think that would be better to buy some “community tested” laptops.

  12. Wondering if what Acer is trying to do with their Revo(lution?) lineup has anything to do with this channel….

  13. Framework is just a huge red flag for me and the only thing that keeps them from going bankrupt is the user custom designs. As linus showed, they are clearly out of sync with the users as seen on their products. They should focus on promoting their product to being a personal or unique to each user along with thousands of potential customizations instead of these mumbo jumbo environmentalism that are just a sad excuse to cut production quality.

  14. For someone so ready to bash on the investment he made, he sure doesn’t invest in actually following the user guides or making a video that reflects an actual user experience. Instead, it’s Linus knows best and that’s it.

  15. can i partner with framework to build rugged laptops ??? i think most of the basic components will work

  16. Someone really needs to take the screwdriver away from Linus. I cringe every time I watch him open up a computer. 🤣😂

  17. Can't wait to see how this trend goes moving forward. Still, I would not pull the trigger right now due to a pointlessly glossy screen and lack of support for AMD. Not sure why non-touch screens, especially, would use glossy screens. Laptops are mobile devices, as well. Even my desktop monitor (if not most?) uses a matte screen. Even for phones I try to install a matte screen protector made of glass. I wouldn't go based on others' popularity alone as that can not necessarily be related to being glossy or matte screens.

Tell Framework to sell a small case so that the old motherboard can be reused as a low power server.

  18. These framework laptops seem to be a great idea. Now, they're a little on the expensive side, they don't have AMD CPUs and they "don't accept pre-orders in my country". So, I guess I'm gonna wait a little bit?

  19. can i upgrade them to nvidia gpus`????? I doubt . And what if i have a 12 gen. Can i upgrade this laptop when i bought it with a 12gen cpu and in the future to upgrade to a 18gen cpu or something like that? I doubt because the rest have to be change too like the pci connections. And those parts are to expensive.

  20. I was going to buy one but they pushed up the price $300 across the board overnight.

  21. The day these have dedicated gpus ill gladly spend 4-5k on one.😂

  22. Power drained caused by M$Windows and not the laptop.

The biggest problem with Windows Laptops

Your own video : Microsoft is Forcing me to Buy MacBooks – Windows Modern Standby

  23. this is such a painful way to do things

  24. What about the battery life

  25. Being able to reuse your old mainboard as a desktop PC or server is indeed pretty cool!

  26. So just buy a macbook then

  27. No parts tray, not reading assembly instructions. Not reading anything (!) despite all the work they put into their documentation. Which is an important part of their product. Why.
