I seen the tea cooled before I seen the thumbnail but I already knew it was for Spiffing. Hell yea.

Tip for removing that vaseline.
Drown that mobo in WD40 Contact cleaner.
I usually do that for my CPU to quickly clean the thermal paste of it and off the pins if I mess that up.
It can corrode metal parts slightly if abused but should otherwise be acceptable.

This was wild. I think you should have still used the Ikea hand, hollowed out to hold a real reservoir / pump combo. But the final result is still beautiful and such a fun and interesting engineering challenge.
