Apple claims the Mac Studio with M1 Ultra is the most powerful computer you can buy for $4,000. Does that put AMD, Intel, and Nvidia on notice â Or is Apple making claims they canât back up?

What Apple really needs to do to increase Mac Studio sales, is they need to release two different CPU versions for the consumer, one that's has a Intel based (Windows Bootcamp friendly) chip, and one with current M1 chip.
So, that the consumer has the option to get a more gaming friendly Bootcamp (Intel chip) and a graphic application type M1 silicon as well.
im guessing apple m1 chip isnt good for games because games are made to work with amd or intel not apple chips
Where is the vent and air flow?
if you are comparing value – PC vs Apple value – in terms of resell – well no need for commetn here right? PCs are destroyed.
also You should really add magic mouse at the end to the mac books – You are not trying to tell me You are going to do pro work on a touch pad right? So away with the dock.
eyy linus potato chips here
If Apple ever released a computer specifically designed for gaming, I would buy it immediately
For anyone interested in the sponsored product, it costs two average Americansâ paychecksâŠ
I have the m1 max studio and itâs a beast man. I can do insane music sessions and it never throws off any heat or bogs down.
You should just add a video card to it. Oh wait you can't. Learned back in the days of ipods to never give apple money again. Remember the big brother idea of not being able to copy/backup your own music. They have only gotten worse since then. I would bet 500 of Linus dollars that that box doesn't have standard screws so you can't open it.
M1 Ultra ….. MKULTRA ….. no difference!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MKUltra
All I can think of is the ham planet presenter.
You are one of the best electronics reviewers I have watched. Well done!
Why are you benchmarking videogames on mac? That is not what it was built for.
Innovative hardware prisoner of an old mentality what a shame.
Not too shabby for a small box that draws 200W from the wall. But then I have to tolerate Apple's shenanigans, which is a big no-no.

For gaming especially in VR this won't be an alternative
Apple is really unprofessional.
No serious gamer would buy a Mac to play games
mac is not made for gaming. anyway, good review
Nobody is buying the stuff from your sponsors. I get you guys make some money but what a waste of money from them.
the mac mini and mac studio are the form factors I have waited for my entire life. I don't want a tower, I don't want a big box, I don't want computers with integrated keyboards, mice, and screens (laptops), I don't want docks, adapters, etc.
I want an unassuming cube that I can plug to my home office's peripherals or take to my office and plug to the peripherals there.
It's great to see more Chip makers. The more the better.
Who the f pay $600 for a 1600w PSU while 850w would do just fine? Let alone the $ 600 MB.
BoolSchitt, Mac devices>_<
I got that dock… And the 10Gb Ethernet connection doesn't work on anything after High Sierra. I basically have a $200 dock that I paid $400 for…. Not really OWC's fault but… It's the only dock that I know of that had 10Gb….
Healthy dose of stuttering đđđ
You know full well Dorothy doesnât care about gaming. All he wants is your money to buy a new pair of ruby slippers. Apple should open a gaming division, complete with a console, but they wonât.
For the benchmarking, have you tried using SPEC for cross platform benchmarking? Using GCC for all tests should provide a comparable result
Anthony FTW!
100% even more now that AMD is resurging and coming back from the ashes…
