To all the people saying these are a better bargain blah blah blah…..I can only find them actually in stock for around 1600 so literally not a bargain in the real world, just more of the same.
After the release of Stable Diffusion which works best on CUDA cores … not so sure about that. That and AMD does not have its own 3D Rendering software like iRay so … yeah.

I've owned alot of nivida and Amd cards and I have to say amd just doesn't make good cards they should just stick with cpu's

If I upgrade from my 2080 it'll be to an amd 6000 series card. I see the pretty that ray tracing adds. But I also see the increased power consumption and cost increase and I just don't think it's justified. It looks a bit better than tradition lighting tech. I know about calculating angles and sources and it's really neat. But when you're moving around in a game and unless you're specifically a graphical image nerd do you really even notice? So yeah a used monster 6950xt to turn my 1080 rig into a 4k rig would be just dandy. But I'm topping out at around $500 there which is a lot for a toy. The 4090 can eff right off with its nonsense.

In 2021 we switched to AMD machines at work and sorry we did. We went back to Intel. AMD is too far indebt trying to catch up that now they can't afford engineering to fix all the bugs. AMD will crash and burn in a few years
