I love my ring products, but plugging it into the OBD port is a deal breaker for me…..
I like it, I have several Ring products and am happy with them, I also have a dash cam that pretty crap and this seems way better than any other dash cam out there so I will likely get it.
And will take ages to come to Australia

Yeah right, Ring has been proven time and time again to rely on a very unsafe network. Numerous accounts of people listening in, turning on the cameras, and even talking through their integrated speakers at families throughout the U.S. Run by Amazon, to further collect data on your car's status, its health, how much you drive, and the 100 other metrics, no thank you.
Need to add a 3rd one that goes to the back. Many accidents happen from the back and many times people will take off. If your back cam is a decent cam, you can actually see faces in case they don't have a license plate.
How the video send to the cloud, need to pay for the 5g data monthly?
There's a lot of information you can get (give up) from an ODB2 port. Why not just use the cigarette lighter or charging port?
