Wait is this the 3D that actually pops out or just has depth inwards? I thought the popping out 3D needed glasses and this tech could only do the 3D depth but if it actually is 3D that comes towards you then that's pretty insane
So it's just a 3ds with extra steps?
I want a laptop I can plug my ps5 hdmi into n use it as a monitor
I hope 3D TV's and 3D monitors make a comeback with OLED panels of course.
IPS garbage panels 🤮🤮🤮 when Asus' new 3D laptops are OLED.
as VR is becoming more and more mainstream, it makes sense to implement 3D displays into laptops. I wouldn't be surprised soon to see website devs experimenting with stereoscopic website designs.
Nintendo should make a 3DS 2 with updated tech, in the PC space it's to niche for devs to really embrace it
Lol 3d is back? Thx to Avatar again?
That looks sick love it
I have a huge problem with this idea: No PC games available today were made with stereoscopic 3D in mind and it would waste precious resources that would be better served in making games run faster and at higher resolutions. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t care for the 3DS’s approach 11 years ago, and I still don’t care for the idea today.
I love that they are doing this again. I loved 3-D. Much better than vr
Reminds me of the HTC 3d phones
Isn't this exactly what the Nintendo 3Ds did 12 years ago? It used to cause me serious nausea and headaches.
Completely missing the point: ef off with all games losers!!
mechanical keyboard?
wasn't 3d dead already? why is it trying to claw its way back? no one gives a crap about 3d. especially when this 3d effect is probably gonna hinder performance compared to a regular screen. also can u even do 4k 120 fps on those 3d screens? have vrr, hdr, etc etc…. while not costing a arm and a leg???
I watched the new Avatar in IMAX 3D and it was actually AMAZING. I can totally see the gaming industry moving towards the 3D Immersive experience.
Great idea. I loved 3ds and I want a successor even if it is a laptop.
Yes. Why is CNET acting like all this is new? The Nintendo 3DS was hugely popular (well, somewhat popular) WAYYY back in 2010. It did the exact same thing, stereoscopic 3D without glasses using two eye tracking cameras.
Apple is going steal the 3d screens, put them in MacBook and say " We were that one that did it first"
How does this compared with ASUS spatial vision
Worst laptop company is still Acer. Had 2 of their laptops and they, died really quick
I was on those few 3D fans, I hope this time works for most people
what game is he playing?
I can do this with almost any game with a pair of 3d glasses and ReShade Depth3D
How long has it taken to catch up with Nintendo, who, presumably gave up because no one wanted it.
This guy likes God of War a single player console game.
"This does not work if someone is behind you confusing the cameras" Well that's good since I have no friends.
It will be interesting to see who implemented the technology better, Acer or Asus.
3D TVs failed big time
so this is DOA
Poor Kena 🤣 mispronounced all the time.
It's official. These MFers are out of ideas
Return of the 3D Era, I loved 3D, I think it is the way forward,. and this will make Nvidia to think of increasing Rasterization instead of increasing Computational processing power(DLSS) or RT..
Too many people wasting their lives playing worthless games
Kinda like sonys ps3 3d tv back in the day.
I love Justin 😂❤❤❤
Holograms or bust.
Cant wait for VR 3d versions of my classic games with just a mod.
I hope this tech will be available in the next Steam Deck.
Nintendo did this so long ago.
3ds without the 3ds
Hi Justin. I want to congratulate you on this video. Love how calmly you explain the tech and still show us your genuine excitement. It’s refreshing to see genuine sentiments on tech
