  1. This is so ridiculous! I love it!

  2. Any voice assistant video without significant mention of the privacy implications of new features AKA, how the specific data is used, I feel is irresponsible. Don’t need to exaggerate but not mentioning it at all is negligent for a media outlet as big as CNET. Now the next part of this comment is my opinion. Any product or service by Google, Amazon and Facebook should automatically require a deep dive before promoting or talking about it. Or have a disclaimer for people to research certain parts themselves so that even if it doesn’t work for your audience, people are advised that there are privacy implications to look into and that they should before using the services.

  3. How wild is that …. Really!!!! So many devices can respond to their names … I stoped watching after that

  4. Can't know how I bumped onto this. Anyway Awesome video 🥇. I also watched those rather similar from mStarTutorials and kinda wonder how you guys create these stuff. MSTAR TUTORIALS also had cool info about similiar make money online things on his channel.

  5. It's handy for letting me know my oven is up to temperature – I set it to send a notification to my phone – but my dishwasher and washing machine don't make any sounds, so it's no good for them.

  7. Yes but will she curse you out and then slam the bathroom door in your hotel room?

This video needs better microphones, the audio is not good. A lapel mic would made a world of difference in a room that is not treated for sound.

  8. You mean it’s being more honest about it’s spying? Lol ok cool

  9. The way you said each feature in the update sounds like a half baked thing. I am home assistant and can make any IOT device alot more smarter with or without the need of a smart assistant enabled device.

  10. In other words: you are paying for corporate surveillance in YOUR home. You are giving a megacorp (that is not subject to oversight) increasing control over your daily life. IMHO, the "nightmare" is having a megacorp listen to everything and "detecting" people. Has anyone seen Terminator? Remember when Google removed "Don't be evil" back in 2018? Yeah, they warned you.

  11. Never

  12. I wonder how it will work with the Ring motion detector? Potential for lots of false alarms.

  13. Not exactly groundbreaking.

  14. Buy a washer dryer x

  15. Just added the detect the washing machine finished, it's old so just does a few beeps but it didn't work

  16. People still use this spying device? Lol… 🐑

    Alexa was made by demons.

  17. My samsung dryer has a wrinkle saving mode that beeps when the clothes are done and only plays the trout when the door is open that would probably work the alexa routine I don't have the samsung washer just a old one that has a loud tone my neighbor can probably hear lol

  18. So they are been lying even tho they said Alexa doesn’t listen until the her name. How is the devise is able to listen to water dripping or machine after being done 🧐

  19. I wonder if this means they will get rid of skills like "ask my buddy" which is kinda like the paid version of calling people you know, if you fall or need help? It doesn't do anything with emergency services. But one of your family members attached to the My Buddy skill could do that too… All for much less than 20 a month.

  20. This is puerile.

  21. I have Google Assistants and I like it better because it has access to Google search. Alexa is not very smart when it comes to searching the internet.

  22. It's neat and fun to hang all these dependencies onto the Alexa wagon. My fear is that some Amazon board member will decide to shake things up by deciding that all previous Alexa devices will no longer work and everyone is expected to shell out $200 for the newest version. Anyone remember the day when the consumer version of Google Glasses suddenly stopped working?

  23. why would i want a fed hearing whatever i say. no thanks

When it's on, its always listening to everything.

  24. This all seems pretty creepy, ultrasound activity monitoring now?
