How "modular" can a laptop built into a monitor stand be? Acer, please take note of what the company Framework is trying to do. This is the kind of thing we want to see when we hear the word "modular".
The peripherals themselves are considered MODULES but even then, this all-in-one desktop ISN'T modular.
😂😂😂
1:12 NOBODY ever thought: "Gee, let me upgrade my perfectly working laptop or All-in-one desktop because there's a better webcam in the new model.
😂😂😂
He's talking about a "modular" PC as a novel thing?!?! I guess it might be if you have only ever used laptops before.
Yea sure if they create the modules next time
What is exactly modular though? Just the camera? I expected internal components. Lame.
Is this an commercial or preview?
Not impressed. Trackpad and camera don’t get outdated that early compared to the PC’s internals which don’t seem to be modular
The term modular used here isn’t what I expected smh, had my hopes up for modular internals but I guess not.
All you can do is change the webcam- which must be specifically built for that model, and you call the entire thing modular?
PC have always been modular. Modular in parts that would make more sense like replace a the cpu and gpu for better performance or Adding new or more ram into the motherboard. With this modular webcam, just buy a usb webcam and plug it in. Also if this is an all in one and it is advertised to be modular you should be able to replace the screen or internals to keep it going for longer.
A funny definition of modular , aren't you going to show me how to change the harddrive ,memory sound card ?
Interesting 🙂
Cool, but is the internals modular so I can add more RAM?
Meanwhile apple: Introducing refined emojis. Our most innovative 😅😅
Even if it is somewhat modular, as tje modules are not bases on a standard, you are still reliant on the manufacturer selling new upgraded modular parts.
So it is unlikely the manufacturer will sell new modular upgrades in 1 or 2 years…
Yes, the webcam is what is pressing users to upgrade their machines lol
it is nonsense if you want desktop you go full powerfull Full Size Tower PC and if you want portable you go for laptop this centered stupidity is nonsense
So the peripherals are modular (as they all are) but… What about the internals? It looks like a sealed box with nothing user replaceable on the inside.
Modular because I can change the trackpad and webcam? We can do that today
The modular aspect I think is really nice. Hopefully the price won't be too high though.
Sorry r u calling a swappable cam n trackpad a “Modular” PC… sheesh the audacity of Acet
"Modular"
So in a couple of years when the processor is obsolete or you need to change the hard drive or the memory you won't be able to do it. But you can track down the other webcam model obsolete at the time to upgrade it?
Modular PC? Why no one has ever thought about this!
Who worries about having an outdated webcam or trackpad in their all in one ?
But even still , good job JustIN on the quick product video
