Over the lifetime of RDNA2 AMD has apparently improved the experience a lot, making us wonder… should you actually choose Nvidia for your next GPU? Particularly when AMD left some performance on the table we hope to extract using the Radeon Monster Profile.

  1. Note: We talked to 1usmus after the video and it seems like the Radeon Monster Profile didn't work as well with our Intel processor. The Radeon Monster Profile tweaks Re-Bar which can significantly improve performance, but at times this seems to conflict with the Intel microcode leading to worse performance. If you have an all AMD build it should be even better. -AC

  2. To answer your title: Yes, yes it is.

  3. good luck finding one for $540 lol… they are going for $1000+

Advertising "enlisted"? Seriously? A game made by russian company, which is funded by russian gas and oil companies, and few oligarchs that own them, and also are associated with russia's military? Like really?
Go on, fellow watchers, play, donate and popularize a game, which has mutual connections to russian army and pays russian taxes. Same taxes that go to fund military, and few months after YOUR country and you as a tax payer, are sending vehicles and ammunition to stop this russian military machine, part of which you've just advertised. Great job!
Same goes to pieces of crap like war thunder, world of warships, and few mobile games that are also popular on western youtube.

  4. You would be lucky to get even a 2nd hand card at those MSRP's in the UK. I got a good deal on a 6800xt and that was $720

  5. Had me rollin @3:19

  6. It's been 2 months since the making of this video. You guys basically promised that you'd give less preferential treatment to nVidia. Apart from the 7900 series review, there have been no AMD GPU featured in any videos on this channel, despite plenty of opportunities imo. Yeah… Actions speak louder than words. You can keep calling yourself not an nVidia shill, but you're repeatedly giving them free advertisement. At least with Intel, the LTT team gets money to upgrade their homes.

  7. yes.

  8. You mentioned Intel F models but is it enough to just have the Firmware disable the iGPU (mine would do it by default unless I told it to leave it on) or does it actually have to be the F model?

Edit: Waiting on a 6750 XT direct from MSI. Snagged it for $390.

  9. Linus out here saving us money

  10. I don't get those prices. Where so you find rtx 3080 for 790$? In amazon DE it's over 1200$.

  11. So I was deciding between the 2080 and 6700 just recently and I went with the 6700. I always have been a nvidia fanboy but I really wanted to try something different. Plus it was with in my budget for my first beefy video card. Once I have this my custom rig will be complete, out side of storage. The issue with storage now is there are so many hard drive scams out there online that I feel it responsible for people to let know of this. Many huge online retailers have them won't name names but if you are able go direct through the manufacturers website, or a trusted 3rd party vendor. Thanks! Long story short, nvidia is way to expensive for me to feel justified for any of there cards atm, which was also my major driving force of buying Radeon. I'm not trying to sell nvidia short though I love them, just my wallet doesn't lol. I will test it thoroughly, but with out over clocking because I just don't have experience with it at all.

  12. My next build will be an AMD build. Companies that don't want to milk their customers for every single penny possible are highly underrated in todays world.

  13. Unfortunately in my country amd is way more expensive than what Linus lists on this video. I find these prices and I don't know what is good and what is not good price:
    1. 3070 ti 665 euros
    2. rx 6800 xt 700 euros
    3. rx 6800 610 euros
    4. 3070 600 euros
Which of these 4 cards has the best price? Probably the rx 6800 I say, but I want your opinions please! Help!

  14. No 6800 non xt version?

  15. Buy RX550 back then, always crashing … even until today … something terribly wrong with their driver.

  16. my rx 6600 is good

  17. Funny intro 😀

  18. The 3090ti was always a dumb comparison, because no one bought them.
Literally the card has barely any changes to the core setup (only by like 2-5%) and slightly faster VRAM, for 2000, at literally 450 watts…. It’s super wasteful, you might as well get a 3090

  19. Price isn’t everything, because AMD cards are basically only good for gaming, besides the ones they LITERALLY made for professional usage. And those GPUs are the same price as quadro cards but more.
So if you wanted to try and make some basic animation in blender with an RX6600, you’d be hampered compared to an RTX3060, or even an RTX 3050 because the card is built for, and made for gaming with the architecture it has.
If I wanted to do that exact same thing, and had the money, I could buy a system with a 3050 or 3060, and the thing would do well because Nvidias cards are more consumer friendly for both sides, and I could do simple 1080p renders with whatever characters I wanna animate, or sculpt with the card. Mostly it’s because AMD doesn’t make the VRAM all that fast for professional use.
The 7900XTX may have caught up with the 3090/4090 having the same VRAM, and almost the same VRAM speed (950GB/s vs 1000GB/s) they still don’t do that well compared to team green.

  20. i agrree

  21. Gt 740 ,NAH I HAVE THE GT 710

  22. So for now I’ll be sticking with 3 year old RTX 2060 for another 3 years at least

  23. Oh my god, Alex was an R9 380 guy as well! I'm still so salty AMD just completely dropped support for it.

  24. I see nvidia better for their software and game implementations like dlss (better than fsr) reflex and rtx, and Im AMD user whom all their friends have a nvidia…

  25. I have a AMD gpu, it have a lot of problems with drivers.

  26. Cheaper doesn't mean they will be resold cheaper.

  27. I've found that AMD is a better bang for your buck, but with their GPUs, I have experienced weird driver issues. I dunno what it is, but I swap in an Nvidia GPU and everything works flawlessly. Mind you, I would buy another AMD GPU just because the price point is better.

  28. Grabbed a 6800XT from Microcenter for $569. Very interested in that Hydra tool.

  29. To awnser your question… yes, NVIDIA is clearly better.

  30. enlisted is an awesome game. its free and is still on par with AAA titles and has the option in the settings for ray tracing and dlss and form my own experience ray tracing works with the 1660ti, and should work with the 1080.

  31. My last 3 GPUs were all AMD, I played hundreds of different games on them. I never had any issues with AMD drivers.

  32. any idea when this will be release

  33. DLSS, nuff said.

  34. Yeah they are cheaper but at a cost and that cost is performance. I want the best so I'll buy the best regardless of cost. Want top performance then buy an NVIDIA. So yeah NVIDIA is better at that's it. I'll never buy an AMD..

  35. AMD has the real Spirit of Gamers because of the Price/Performance. Forget Nvidia & Intel
    #TEAM AMD ❤️

  36. I'd love to buy an AMD card, but somehow they are even harder to get by then an Nvidia card and suffer from super stupid prices. Only 6800XT currently listed as in Stock is 850 € + shipping. I can get a 3070ti for 100 € less…

  37. afterburner been doing this with nvidia
