I love that this kid was understanding everything Linus was saying as sarcasm and responding in kind. I have sincere respect for the young 'uns using desktop computers. I do I.T. at a State College and I have to help so many kids fresh out of high school who think they're tech savvy (and also their parents that call in) because they grew up with the latest iPhone and now they get to the real world where they have to use a Windows PC and they're terrified of it. If you're a teenager in high school about to move into college and you're proficient at desktop computing, us boomers in the I.T. world (I'm 34 so not sure of boomer age) salute you. And to any who are planning on going to college and have only had an iPhone, Macbook or Chromebook, watch some YouTube videos about Microsoft Windows (Windows 10 and 11 as of this posting) because you WILL experience it at some point. I can guarantee that. You can even go to a public library and mess around with a WIndows PC for free and learn it there, or just read about it. All of the documentation for anything Microsoft has done can be found here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/docs/ Also, you can learn Microsoft Office 365 for free here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/training. Anything you need to prepare for the real world after high school is available online. I care so much because I have little kids and I want them to have a good future where everyone at least tries to troubleshoot their own problems before they call a help desk because they're too lazy to plug in an ethernet cable (which I have dealt with). And if you end up at a place where they only use Linux, then that means you've died and gone to Heaven and there's nothing else to worry about. I don't always rant like this, but when I do, it's because I've had way too much Dos Equis. And diabeetus.

Plugging cables into PSU first is a rookie mistake, and Linus jist did it! He even says in another of his own videos that it's easier to plug in the other end to each part first, then route back to the PSU, and THEN install the PSU in the case after all the cables are connected.
Legitimately a funny kid. Also frequently annoying but then again so is my kid and most of my friends.
You can tell this kid is absolutely spoiled and never had to do anything himself nor face any consequences himself.
Is it normal that american parents shield their children from anything so when they grow up they can’t do anything themselves?
I hope he acquires some real life skills by himself instead of feeling cool about playing Lego on a computer and thinking he’s so witty and snarky.
Why do American kids these days all have this mindset?
The parents should stop pampering this kid and he will be fine!
You can tell he’s not dumb and definitely not a bad person, he just needs to make experiences on his own and learn from actually doing things instead of getting them handed.
You need to mess things up to learn from that.
A small hit on the chin doesn’t hit, it builds character and teaches you something.
Give him the Freedom to make his own experiences and only intervene if he’s going down a really bad street.
But a few wrong terms will teach and humble him so he becomes a better person.
