The average Apple sheeple consumer does not even think once about modding or upgrading the device. As long as it has an apple logo on it and turns on that's enough for them. I feel like when apple engineers are designing anything new the number one design feature for all their products is how can we just bend over and absolutely fuck our customers and remind them that they are peasants that will give us their money no matter how we design our products. Apple's slogan should be, "It doesn't matter what we do, you will still give us your money."

isn't the whole point of Mac vs PC is that PCs are more upgradable? and Macs aren't? So???? Macs aren't designed to be upgradable, why are we trying to upgrade them?

Once I was so blown away by Apple's way of constructing things, until you buy (new at the time) 2013 iMac 27". Failing GPU, failing PSU, Dust between the IPS screen and backlight… UNUSABLE in summertime because of thermals (even with manual fan control) yeah once I went back to PC… it felt so good. New GPU? No problem, if something fails; replace it without a hassle. And thermal issues? hahahahaha ZERO! Yeah, I had enough of that throttling cpu for 2000 EURO worth of aluminium from china.

took appart and fixed many apple devices in the past. Its all terrible. Its like the nice metal outside and good machining are a facade for whats really going on inside. Wrong choices of cables, stupid shit like fan being controlled by a thermal sensor superglued to the heatsing because aparantely apple engineers have no clue the cpu already has a thermal sensor. And then the good ol pentalope screws or every screw being different. Deffinitelly the worst devices to work on.
My decision to stay away from Apple is validated by this video: outright monopoly.

I remember, back when everything was black and white, discovering that I couldn't transfer the music I paid for from the iPod I paid for onto the computer I paid for. Seems nothing's changed…
I just bought a 4 Tb (WD Blue) 4 Tb SSD. Yeah, in 2½" bay form, but it was about ¾ of… The other one I bought at the start of the year. Which makes my studio pc from years back 13 Tb of storage. Old hard drive's contents have been copied (I just backup software), I'll put the drive in at daylight tomorrow. The old drive was about 80 % filled, the replacing SSD is about 13 % filled. That's the beauty of updating drives from erm… Ten years ago or so. And much simpler than changing drives in this silly machine, haha.
I smiled and laughed throughout the video. Silly, silly Apple. Never buy one. As in the vid: since you need two.That's just evil, innit. Happy holidays anyhow! 'Tis the season.

Apple (and not just Apple) are 'greenwashing'. Another year comes to an end, and we're another year closer to a complete environmental disaster.

The Studio looked like a great successor to me Trashcan MacPro. They more I look at it, the more I plan to hold onto my Trashcan MacPro.
