I also tested and unboxed on my channel.. it goes better than expected. I got it for only 400โฌ in Italy cause I couldnโt afford the NVIDIA asus strix 3060โฆ. For like 700โฌ.
I wanted to give my money to someone that is really tryin to sell good product for the right price
"FPS remained largely unchanged at different resolutions" = Immature drivers. You can't compare drivers for ARC GPUs with intel's integrated offerings over the years. Intel's integrated offerings have been iterative with a few brief deviations (IRIS and IRIS pro) where they had a bit more of an architectural change but even then, the designs were still based on existing silicon. ARC is more comparable to Ryzen when it launched. You could see the potential and the strength of the architecture but it was plagued compatibility issues, bugs and a lack of software optimizations. This is new territory for intel and it's not just on them, the industry will take time to incorporate their architecture specific optimizations. The games that are seen to work well likely optimized for ARC already, at least to some extent while others have little to no optimization for the architecture.
Next gen ARC will show significant improvements but you will find many of those improvements will likely trickle down to the current generation in the form of driver optimizations, game optimizations and other improvements on the driver/firmware level. IMO, we may see the current ARC GPU range mature into much more capable GPUs in a year or so. Intel had to compete in the market as it is today, a few decades ago this would have remained in development another 2 – 3 years. People today want the new thing now, they don't want to wait for the kinks to be ironed out or at least catering to those that feel this way doesn't hit the bottom line as much as it used to. We are used to being beta testers for tech these days, hell, 90% of modern games are launched in what used to be considered a beta stage of development, many are not even properly complete until a year or more after launch with patches and DLC.
For some reason I really want one of these…just to promote competition which only benefits us
Here in Canada, the a770 16g edition is $480cad, same as the cheapest 3060 8gb, and the prices for the 3060 models go up from there for the 8 and 12 gb versions. I bought the 770 for my second pc a around xmas. Personally im happy with it, even with the driver issues. Still game on my 3070ti in my main rig, but as intels first real foray into the discreet gaming GPU market i'd say they are doing alright, it gives me hope for their future cards.
Storage Question, do people still install operating system on a separate drive or just use M.2 nowadays for everything
โwould make a great YouTube videoโ ๐
$300 and you get performance that Nvidia is charging $600 for. If you are a budget gamer and play most dx12 and dx11 games then you are an absolute moron if you donโt buy one of these. Current gpuโs are just dumb right now
Modern Warfare has its own statistics for GPU and CPU usage, temp, fps etc.
I said it once and I'll say it again, I want Intel to succeed in this space but it's been months now and the software is still terrible. There just doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency to get things in order. A real shame!
if it meant to compete with 6600 it's gonna be a better buy if… they fix the issues.
Intel ARC is fine for 1440p gaming but not at max settings.

The drivers are getting better. Intel is really working hard on the derivers.
If FPS really mattered… you wouldn't need to be told what the FPS is. High framerates are for attention deficient kiddies who can't bring themselves to just stop and enjoy the beauty of the moment.
Does anyone know this: im from Norway and when I look at any store that sells laptops with amd ryzen I find almost no 6000 series. Like 95% is 5000 series. But why? The 6000 series was released like a year ago.. and every laptop i see still has the old 5000 series..
I've had none of these problems. Run display driver uninstaller before installing the driver if you used to have an Nvidia or AMD GPU in the system. Yes, the control panel needs work, But I record just fine and it was literally the first time I ever captured a video on any GPU. MSI afterburner always worked, I don't know what to say. I duel boot linux/windows 10 on an I-9 (yes I got REBAR to work)
Warzone should have a built in frame counter in the settings
Considering you can get some Apple M2 thing for $600 for a full system……
I'd love to want one of these. Also, new jumper?
Honestly they've got the hardware, and software will get better and in a few years it will be the next competitor. ๐ข v ๐ด v ๐ต
I recomend you to when you are testing games to see fps i recomend trying rust cux you do need a good pc to play that
Performance per dollar is good. Sometimes reaching the 6800 or 3070 in performance level. Of course it's not the absolute cheapest or best. It might even get better with driver improvements.
If someone buys it for me then it's definitely worth buying. ๐
Is that the latest driver??? Please double check…
I am more interested in drivers stability, not the features. I personally, once I start the game, configure options that works for me for smooth gameplay, don't ever touch anymore after. I don't even like to watch the fps counter, kinda trigger OCD then for me.
Me watching this having just bought a 6700xt: mmm interesting ๐ง
What drivers did you use?
Short answer: No
Long answer: No, no, and no
His eyes are so pretty
I donโt think I heard you mention it, but did you have resizable BAR enabled for these games? I know Intel says itโs a must
Best settings for intel are ultra 1440p xess enabled. Remarkable it took this guy till the end of the vid to just barely figure that out. Imagine if tech YouTubers actually understood computing and didnโt just really like bestbuy
well its impressive for a 1st gen GPU form Intel… but AMD and Nvidia have literally 20+ years of driver/software optimizations and even game ready drivers over the years..
i guess one can think of buying a intel GPU maybe after 3 or 4 Generations(maybe in year 2026)..
no point in paying money to become a BETA TESTER for intel …lmao.. they shuld pay money to gamers who are using it.
Sir what about media engines for video editing.
Intel has very good media engines. Can you do Premier pro pudgetbench benchmark test?
Make sure Intel quick sync and arc gpu media engines both are enabled for Premier pro.
if i didnt have high end systems already id prolly try one, but seeing as i have a 4080 in my main rig and a 6700xt in my other rig i think im good.
infinately hung my nickname in college ๐ lol sorry…
tbh if i watched your reviews i wouldnt buy any gpu. i think you need to actually know what youre doing before posting a review. i have this same card and i dont have the issues you are having. learn to use it before posting crap plz
