  1. Hah… The 4:20 coming into scene.. 👌🏻🤣

  2. I love how Linus ignores fact wireless crap always will have some level lag… And why the feck you wouldn't use wired speakers in setup like that?!!?!?!

  3. Did you contact Sony and see what their opinion is? Surely it could be fixed by a firmware update to the base?

  4. Off topic. What would happen IF you put 2 kind or RAM (DDR 4 & DDR 5) in 1 computer. Since there are some motherboards (then, i don't know now) have have slots for new and older versions of ram. Thanks

i use anything wireless as a last resort to connect anything to be honest, when you have house with 100 wifi devices connecting to whatever devices its keen to fail at some point.

  5. From what I remember , they aren't quite just 'cheap off the shelf' usb adapters, but ones that support promiscuous mode, which is pretty much needed for wireshark type of stuff.
I don't really see much need for the Sony to be hopping or swapping bands, or not being able be told to stick on a user selected band. I'm all for some tech that would work in an auto mode that avoids congested bands, but when it's clearly not working as intended, then just let me go manual.
Boo to Sony though for the misleading terms on the product, but they'll probably say their 'specification' relates to how the packets are fed via QoS, or something.

  6. Maybe try ceiling mounted speakers.

  7. Get a full Sonos system
With two play fives in the back
An arc up front and two sub’s

  8. Lets hope sony sees this video or the team at ltt shares their data with sony to push an update to fix this problem cause i can see sony pushing out an update to fix this problem for their users

  9. I just want to say to the editors that mosaic-censoring Linus' windows might not work for long with AI upscaling improving as quickly as it is. I recommend covering them with generic stock images of exterior windows and then mosaic-blurring those.

  10. Should've tried to get Sony to sponsor the video

  11. and this is why I will never boy any wireless speakers or headphones, not only do they usually sound worse but also this kind of stuff, I just simply do not want to deal with it

  12. i wonder if anyone got fired for not blurring it quick enough at 5:52

  13. Why not switch the Sony system off when not in use? A smart power outlet will not only solve the WiFi issue but also save you energy costs

  14. Try Bang en Olufsen…

  15. If you used Tonic to capture you could have missed a few frames since the adapter jumps from channel to channel, Metageek has another software called Eye P.A that let's you set static channels to capture.

I would also try and move the main unit away from the subwoofer because you can experience some sideband interference. Use Chanalyzer again to see if that is the case.

Also, 802.11n on such a new system. Yikes!

  16. This is a brilliant workout where the problem came from. As a consumer i would never been able to troubleshoot this problem. So thank you for this fantastic video

  17. I still stand by the fact that we do not need poorly picked background music in the background of Linus talking…

  18. Wireshark is an absolute godsend. Lost count of how many times it has enabled us to diagnose problems over the years 👍🏼

  19. Instead of going this hard you could just add a smart switch at any of the HT devices (or maybe even just the hub). To shut it down when it’s not in use.

  20. bruh just run LAN cables but i spose you wouldnt get as many videos out of it huh?
same with your speakers bruh fucking hard wire them in!

  21. Spectrum Analysis and Packet Capture…my favorite superheroes

  22. Yep. Wires are superior to wireless any time you can possibly use them. That's just a straight up fact. Doesn't mean wireless is always wrong, just that it's often wrong. Also for any audio fan, a variable data transfer latency or audio cutouts of any kind is just an immediate deal breaker, I really wouldn't accept that for anything I enjoyed listening to.

  23. 900MHz – you sure Linus? Over here they go at 2450 – and given how spectrally rough the signal is interference IS a possible

  24. Linus' failure is free content

  25. 15.2 millions subs means there is currently a number of Sony techs scrambling to fix this.
Shame the rest of us don't have that sort of sway.

  26. This has no impact on my day to day life but I love the content and technical analysis.

  27. Your understanding of "broadcasting" is lacking. There's nothing wrong with broadcasting. Wi-fi is always "blasting out" data. It's not like it can prevent any device from receiving the radio waves.

  28. Pin comment to old videos!! Please

  29. 15:40 I hope they don't write anything confidential then since they send every single key press to them in what is effectively a "keylogger". They can promise all they want about things being confidential, but that is only until they get breached, which is not a question of "if" but "when"

  30. FOr me all wireless stuf is very unhealthy ….everything in my home is wired. Yes that means no Apple…. i already get enough unwanted wireles sh.. from the neighbours. We already live in a big microwave oven. And with the dangerous 5g all around us….time Will prove me right.
