Ok so theres a work around with using all of your homepods together as a theater setup, IF you have an apple tv. All you have to do is use airplay. Idk if you for sure have to have an apple tv. If your tv itself has airplay then you should still be able to do it.

Spotify sucks. They pay their artists less than half the $ per stream than Apple Music. No lossless, no Dolby Atmos. They take forever to implement features into their apps. Everyone just continues to use it out of habit. It’s not a good music app
Most tech reviews including this one have completely ignored the eARC feature. You can use these as a speaker for ANYTHING plugged into your TV
I have had 2 Amazon studio speakers paired with an echo subwoofer paired to a fire-stick for over 1 year with zero issues…It must be an ESO issue with yours. They are connected to a C-1 OLED , in my bedroom I connected a pair of the fives by klipsch and 2 SVS sub 2000 to a Q90B that is the ultimate setup for a small speaker / no room for a sound bar design.

My echo has a temperature sensor and my HomePod mini and echo has the same reading

You can’t defy physics from a bunch of tiny speakers and a small powered sub. You’re always going to be better with dedicated speakers and receivers for Atmos.
Love your videos. BUT! At that price point, you should be comparing it with Sonos speakers e.g. Sonos Beam / Move.

Great review. I want a set of these to pair with my Apple TV in the living room. I currently have a Sony sound bar that is decent but the interface is not idle. So you think it’s worth it to replace a mediocre Sony sound bar?
Apple Music is better than Spotify because Apple Music has Lossless and Dolby Atmos music

The reason you can't use Spotify on a homepod is because Spotify doesn't support it. Other non-Apple services work on it.

You know how you're saying that home pod does not work with Spotify it is because Spotify does not want to pay apple like how they removed the purchasing feature in the app store for there subscription

the reason you can't use apple music isn't apple – spotify has the ability to and even has been encouraged by apple to add support but they haven't. other platforms like pandora already have siri support on homepod and have had it since 2021

As far as the speaker, I have 2 of the gen 1s and I love them. I was slightly disappointed by the small changes in this new one, and how it was released pretty quietly. However, I hope they did this because of bigger releases this year?? Maybe I’m too optimistic…
Google, Amazon and Apple all want us to drink their Kool-Aid. I added 5 voice-enabled speakers to my home a few years back and I'm now planning to replace them all with Sonos. My wife and I decided we're tired of the speakers listening to us. We have various automation technologies in our home and not relying on voice-enabled anything. Sorry Google, Alex, Siri. Find another household to eavesdrop.
I heard that using two original Homepods for home theater sounds bad because there's no center channel for dialog. Did they fix that with the new Homepod? I guess you didn't notice anything sounding off when watching content on your TV.
alexa sounds like a real bitch. siri is classy that's why i have 10 OG homepods (not kidding)
hahaha. the end of your clips is just something else. always a fun surprise! I'm an Apple user for some years now and still using the OG HomePods all around my house. When I pair the ground floor HomePods in stereo mode ( 4 in total across 2 rooms ), it's a truly immersive experience. I'll stick to my old HomePods for now 😀
