So, the whole time they can bio-hack plants to produce electricity through photosynthesis, why don't they do it for all plants to end our energy needs

  4. Would any company make themselves superfluous? That would be like making money off of sick people, but then offering to completely heal them…
What business would do something like that?

  5. Current cars look like electric shavers and future cars look like drawings from a child. Just great.

  6. So instead of replacing an expensive piece of rubber, you’d replace a super expensive capsule for an exponentially more expensive tire. Cool concept at least

  7. I hate videos like this that are SO FAR AWAY… by the time it would even be practical to build such a thing, we'd already have a million better ideas and technologies. In other words, these 'future' videos are no different than the 'future' videos from the 1950's and 1960's, with virtually nothing predicted ever having come true.

  8. goodyear has problems making tires, each one is like a snow flake they are all a little Tsells different.

  10. Printer cartridges for the car. Noooooo

  11. 2:50 They'd probably start selling those capsules for a high price. You don't need a new tire, but you need a new capsule…

  12. Is that Spider-Man on wheels

  13. What about magic tires made out of pinky dust? Pretty much as realistic asthis.

  15. Printer and cartridge model

  16. Not in a decade

  17. Wouldn't something like this throw off the balance of the tire? Or add more weight to the tires?

  18. Why would you be a tire manufacturer and make tires that don’t wear out ?

goodyear concepts are cool, and probably the best way for the future, but we wont see them, they just show their doing something, then say its not possible or ppl dont want it, so they can sell more tyres and make money cos all companies are greedy

  19. The capsules will be manufactured in Wakanda out of Vibranium and Nonobtanium.

  26. Not anytime soon but a very interesting concept

  27. Users wouldn’t have to buy a new tires, but they would still have to buy the recharged cartridge, so that concept could make more sense and could be more profitable for GoodYear than the other ones mentioned in this video 👍🏼

  28. Well you may not have to buy new tyres but you will have to buy another capsule! I bet that wont be cheap particularly depending on how often you have to buy a capsule. Business is business, kaching.

  29. They are thinking subscriptions just like most services provides now days. From cable to content providers.

  30. We've been shown airless plastic tire concepts for a decade, yet we're still driving around on the same old black rubber.

  31. Well the way the climate is going, they may not have the luxury of making tires from fossil fuels. Plus, they could make a killing with customization and the pods themselves.

  33. The world used to be about making the best product for that is no longer the case. Now it's about getting the most money out of one person 0the future is about getting you to constantly pay for something even if it means paying once twice three times for the same for the same and now everything is going the way of subscription given what we have seen why would you think this would ever come to light pain once for a product has gone the way of the dodo bird

Damn my tire just popped a perc

  35. This is never going to happen

  36. Pipe dream. Not happening ever

  37. The capsule would be subscription based. Goodyear may not own a patent on the tire however thus capsule would be pure IP with an almost 100% profit margin. Think of it as the big pharmaceutical industry applied to the tire industry.
