Awesome Tips Galaxy S21 first impressions: $200 cheaper than the S20
Samsung cut $200 off the price of all three Galaxy S21 phones. The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus come with a bunch of upgrades and refinements, including a striking new color scheme. But aside from their price, the phones aren’t massively different from their S20 counterparts. In fact, it seems Samsung scaled back on certain specs and features. We take a look at the tradeoffs that were made to hit that lower price.

Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
Cmn bisa nnton videonya 😂😭
I bought S20 Ultra 15 months ago, white screen even though no accident, no dropping into water, staff said just because I am unlucky so it's like that, they charged me 300usd for a new screen which is 3 months under warranty. So except you are loaded with money, should buy iphone. I have been using iphone for 5 years, not even minor issue.
I'm on the s21 right now
Amazing experience
Coming from a 4 year old s8 and an a20, this is a great, lagless, smooth upgrade
Does the stand come with it lol
Very good in depth review. I've never seen trade in deals that everyone has. Of all, Verizon? I got the S21+ for 384.00 buck-a-roos 16 bucks a month. Yikes, that deal is a no-brainer, get it on the 29th? Pleasntly shocked, a trade in deal with Verizon for a longtime loyal customer, finally is the sky falling?
It's cheaper… not in my country, lol. The s21 series are actually more expensive than last year's s20 series in the Philippines. cries in broke
6:05 Correction: the s20 only comes with 8 GB RAM.
Edit: I'm wrong! 😔
The back on the plus looks the best
I'm sort of tired hearing people cry that their 8K videos won't look as good on the phone…really….WAKE UP
How the cameras compare to the S20FE (fan edition) is it true that the front camera of the SE is better than the S21?
First, thanks CNET for a factual and honest comparison of these two phones. You guys always do a great job giving us the facts so we can make informed decisions.
No Micro SD support !!! WOW what a huge downgrade. Micro SD support is the major reason I've always bought Samsung over the iPhone. Instead of 1128GB (1TB SD + 128GB internal) of storage in the S20, we now only have the internal 128GB in the S21 (or 256GB if you're willing to pay a premium). That's a total storage REDUCTION of 88.6% ! (or 79.6% storage REDUCTION when comparing a 256GB S20 to a 256GB S21). And don't forget that the internal storage must hold the operating system and gobs of useless apps forced on you by Samsung and your carrier that you can't remove, so in actuality you'll have much less than 128GB. Additionally, the high-res cameras on these flagship phones create the need for MORE storage, not less. So "upgrade" to the S21 and you'll have only approximately 11% of the storage capacity for photos and videos that your old S20 was capable of.
Don't forget that all flash memory is life limited in the number of times it can be written before it wears out. When storing most of your data on an SD card, it greatly reduces the number of write/erase cycles on your phone's internal memory, thereby extending its life and consequentially the life of your phone. If you wear out your SD card, who cares – you go to Walmart or Target and buy a replacement at the first sign it might be getting flakey.
To add insult to injury, the back is now plastic instead of the elegant glass back on the S20, and the S21 has 8GB of RAM as opposed to 12GB in the S20 and you no longer even get a charger included. Sure, the $200 savings is a good thing, but it all comes down to value, and that's where the S21 just doesn't measure up. I've never had anything but Samsung smart phones. But no thanks on this one Samsung, I'll just keep my S20 until it's time to change, at which time I'll be switching to another brand.
The recent poll shows people hate the S21 series also blamed reviewers of NO more headphone jack, removable battery, refuse glass back … And NOW No SD card, reviewers making money is fine just don't talk on behalf of people!
Like the s20 more
That blogger view looks awesome.
Ahh Phantom of the opera camera module hence the phantom colors. It's a play on look and words i am sure.
So we’re going back too 2015 just like the s6 no sd card slot sad:( I will keep my s20 that has a storage card if they don’t bring back sd card storage this will be my last Samsung phone.
Galaxy S20 had 8Gb of memory too… My phone doesn't have 12Gb!!!!
Today i checked S21 for my vlogging but nothing changed compare to my S20!!! only design
Plastic back is a big selling point. I was thinking of bumping up to the ultra, but a plastic back is a good selling point
I just love the airtel ad…
Samsung, at this point, seems to be competing more against the likes of Oneplus, Xiaomi etc
Galaxy phones are so boring now
👍🏾
I honestly going for the plastic back. Majlrity of users will put case anyway.
Alot of downgrades from the S20… Smart buyers beware and keep the money in your pocket
I don't care about the glass back or the charger, but the SD card slot… If the trend continues I will go somewhere else, pixel or OnePlus could be the answer
