I only use mine for notification, workouts, and apple pay. Upgrading my Series 4 to this was a no brainer.

Apple se 2020 44mm is best watch. I got @23 k on flipkart watch os 9 looks fab on it. Low power mode is also there. Processing is super fast

I think the SE is for me since I’m so ocd on battery I would probably always end up disabling the always on feature of the series 8 anyways lol
Apple may very well have disabled the Always On Display using software, as both the old and new SE have the same LTPO technology in the display hardware as the other watches.
As a SE owner, I don’t really care too much for always on and love the watch, but don’t like the idea of a feature being locked out with software to make the other watches premium. Developers can you confirm? 🤔

I think this Apple Watch SE is a best option for someone who needs only fitness tracking and normal uses. Little sacrifices needed on display because series 7 and 8 comes with display upto edges, still SE taking little more edge space and display feel little smaller when we place some background other than black.
I was planning to give my mother my AW series 7 after I buy the series 8 but I know my mom will only be using the heart monitor and the time so I don’t know if I should trade in the series 7 for the SE

What about a keyboard?
I was looking to get an Apple Watch this week but decided the past few generations have been stale. Got a refurbished 44mm titanium Series 5 Watch Edition on Amazon for $248 and think it’s the best value I could find that still had always on display and ECG with a tougher display and body.
Why would people need always on display? The SE display that turns on only when you look at it is what's best abiut SE, it saves to sof battery life!
You don't workout though, at least you don't look like you do.

I like it, and I'm a first time Watch user. I'm retired, and I'm not an enthusiastic fitness person. I walk plenty, so I'm happy enough that it monitors my heart rate. I don't like the larger bezel, so this size is perfect for me. The colors of the watchband were more available than the 8, so that was also a selling point for me. Only downside for me (I agree) not having the always on display.. Wish I at lease had the option, but seriously–who cares? It saves money! I don't mind that, and maybe having it on all the time can get a little old. The Apple Watch SE for me is…perfect.
