Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
you shoukdnt allow that cam drain the cars battery when its not running and dont use the cars diagnose port either such a dumb design!
How much of the data, that this camera collects, is shared with Amazon for marketing purposes?
I'm assuming that all of this is completely spelled out in the Terms Of Service, which no one ever reads?
camera not that good , subscription as well on top of ring house system ..
dont think so ………………
Hot garbage. Why does everything need wifi and cloud access with the word AI on it
This is terrible, what were they thinking!
Except it’s not available yet. There is a 3-6 month wait.
This could be an actual decent dash cam if the video quality was way better, offers local storage and a rear cam option. I like cloud features a lot and for the price it's the cheapest with good value. I am not huge on having Amazon in my car though
Thanks for the review, very clear and dynamic
Poor quality and having to pay a monthly fee for video storage; no thanks!
Does anyone know how you would move this camera from one leased / or purchased vehicle to a new one – if the adhesive is so strong? Will I now be able to relocate it when needed?
I like the traffic stop feature but I don’t think they are really helping us. I think they are trying to fix their image. They likely still work with police.
Ring works with kkkops. No thanks.
Wow that’s lousy video quality lol. Never mind
You didn't mention the 2GB limit on the 4G LTE connection and Ring's site didn't mention how much the overages are.
If it's continuously uploading to the cloud, you're going to blow through it in no time. Also, they never mentioned this limit at launch. Their site was updated with the info just recently. This lack of transparency left a sour taste in my mouth.
Great review, answered a lot of questions I had on this thing.
I think that this will fail due to the intense wiring and weird design.
Everything and anything these days is with a subscription. From heated seats to dashcams. Just make em pay monthly.
I wonder how much data they log from your car while driving it since it hooks into the OBD2 port and sends back to Amazon, someone should look into this.
still so bad for a dashcam. How can you even record or see the numberplates there
CNET – You did a nice job giving a complete description about how the cam works and any issues with operating it. Thanks.
This will be great to watch my pet bear as it walks through my car at night
That video quality is pretty bad.
yeahh…….. i didn't expect 4k quality, but I expected better.
This is what the have been waiting for. A connect dash can you can access with your smart phone that is more user friendly. Now all I have to wait for. Is a cam that works with HomeKit. This is a good price and monthly fee compared to the other options I may get this for in the interim.
I'll wait for the 2nd generation maybe they'll record in 5K
