All these features perpetually monitoring/ tracking vital information such as health and location of you and your children……. feels a little off. Especially when you consider that Apple has the right to that information.

I actually can understand where Apple was going with the family Watch thing. Giving kids an Apple Watch that you can control and customize is probably better than giving them thier own smartphone. It's probably more economical since an iPhone SE is $400 vs $330 for Watch SE Cellular. Also to consider is it costs $10 now to add an Apple watch to a plan and if they keep that the same (or even up it to $20) , it's probably more cost effective than adding another phone plan which can be $40 or more for an "unlimited" plan.

until they offer a watch that has a decent battery life of at least 3 days, they can keep these things. Too much money for stuff not used.
As someone with asthma/respiratory issues this is a game changer. Rather than be tied down by my oximeter every hour or so to check my spO2 I can keep it on my wrist while I’m working or doing something else. Oximeters are also very fragile and need battery changes CONSTANTLY. I’ve gone through at least 5 and I’m pretty cautious with them (keeping them in a case, not letting them get wet, etc)
