Intel engineers validate their overclocks on CPU-Z and HWiNFO. I use CPU-Z and HWiNFO. Therefore, I am Intel engineer. edit: See, this is sad. The engineer is the hero of the tech, while the marketing exec throws together a PowerPoint and gives the consumer a bad taste in their mouth when they see cherry-picked, shady tactics being used to buff performance numbers. It almost diminishes a lot of the time and effort they go through to get numbers from the entire range of capability of a given platform when put together and presented like that. Especially when you peel back the facade like this. “Intel engineers” is a fluid moniker. Like others have stated, you literally have people who grew up watching LTT in these world class labs now. They aren’t just a cog in the big blue machine. And it’s the same for green and red and whatever else. I hope execs can get out of the way of engineering more so misdirected hate can just cease to exist.

It was really wonderful seeing how moved you were by the truly incredible people of Israel, they are the warmest, most brilliant and kindest people I have ever met in my life so I understand your emotional reaction completely.

  2. Suprised Linus didnt drop anything in the IDC LMAO

  3. Linus looks like a kid when he enters a giant candy factory, love the content.

  4. Even Intel doesn't use Arc GPUs for their gaming testing

  5. 12:15 Are those shelves for Habana Cigar's?

  6. I wanna work in the debug lab.
I know most people hate bugs. But I love to hate them.

  7. I want one of those thermal heads

  8. ayo why is there a female for EDP 3:06

  9. at 17:06 i think by "MVP" Linus means "Minimum Viable Product"

  10. Yeah yeah yeah, that testing board can be modified anything on it but consumers are forced to buy new motherboards every new generations of Intel CPU.

  11. They still dont remove sticker from behind the monitor logo. As IT pro it drives me creasy everytime I see it.

Linus et al. Please stop spreading anti-consumer falsehoods. Overclocking will not "void product warranties" in the UK nations, EU states, and even in Israel – where you are making the claim – on the SKUs capable of being overclocked. Not only does Intel sell a series of processors that is capable of – and marketed for – overclocking, but the typical overclocking features we're used to have to be deliberately enabled (and coded) via microcode by Intel, as well as have full Intel support on a UEFI level.

This – combined with Intel offering software specifically to overclock from within Windows, amongst other examples – means that in countries with sensible consumer protection laws, Intel (and AMD) do not have a valid legal position to dictate such a policy. This has been 'tested' in at least a few EU states and the UK.

  12. You guys need to send them some LTT cable ties!

  13. When can we expect USB4 to become standard on motherboard (and at all, for that matter?)

I wonder how much of this is thanks to Linus emphasis on how cool some of the people at Intel are, and him differentiating between Intel's bad decision and their employees.

  14. This video series is the best targeted ad Intel could do. And they did it. Nice.

  15. See how great your hosts would be if you were a Palestinian …

  16. This is one of the most incredible tours through a factory I care about I've seen. Definitely would love to see future collaborations beyond just Intel extreme upgrade.

Yes please bring back Ps2 ports. I'm currently building my first computer in 10 or so years and I miss my old friend

Have you ever read a sentence that doesn't end like yoverclocking can be used to test the maximum capabilities of technology,

but it does not represent the standard use case and will void product warranties.

  17. I love the tech's nails at 6:19 🤎💗🤎🤎🤎🤎!

  19. Just a little flex at 14:23min with a camera shot of the " definitely no photos or videos from the stuff in here" sign😂😂

  20. Now what if we had this kind of control over cpus for over clocking

  21. Really loved these deep dives. Good watch thank you.

  22. 4:29 would be useful if you have an AIO that needs a USB like the Corsair ones
