This house is such a stupid idea lmao. Like, a super expensive server, 4 professional grade WiFi 6 access points, custom smart home garbage, motion light switches… Like, it is just not practical at all and is a waste of time and money imo. Like, use a light switch, walk around your house to use your equiptment, nobody needs 1.5 gig WiFi 99% of the time… Like, what so Netflix loads 10ms faster? And the interference and bombardment of rogue radio waves that must be messing with all your Bluetooth things and wireless controllers… lol. Just ridiculous and excessive but, also not my house or money. I know that for me, I will never allow a smart home system to be installed, and would be content with 1-2 access points with a reasonable speed. I need good speeds on a couple daily driver devices with large download sizes, nothing more for casual use. When my internet is slow I pour myself a glass of water or something anyways lol

This is so recognizable…me trying to get to 1gbps wifi from a 700mbps connection by buying expensive network equipment, my gf who only needs 20mbps stable wifi to do pretty much anything in the house XD

Surprised Wi-Fi AD didn’t last. 20-60ghz Wi-Fi at least on an access point would be great. It’s basically just mmWave Wi-Fi. If you had one AP per room you have minimal chance of cross talk as it requires basically line of sight. So one of its biggest drawbacks could have been a massive win for multiple AP homes. I had one of the only AD routers but it is just a foot note in history!
