Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
The truth is though, stop using csgo as a reference because an absolute potato can run it at 120 fps π
"Is 4 cores enough?"
me with a 2 core 4 thread i3:
yes 4 cores are enough, i am still rocking my i5-6400 for few years.
i recently upgraded my i7 3770 to a i5 11400 because i got a killer deal on one, and there was a nice boost in performance, but not nearly as much as i was expecting.
why is it that my old 4 core did better than my 8 core that im using now in every way
My cruddy PC with an i7-4790k and GTX 1070 mini with 16gb of ddr3 1333mhz ram was enough to run stuff like gta on max settings with little to no performance loss. Everything on the market these days is complete overkill and just a way to flex your money
Bro i got scammed
My mum bought me a Β£300 gaming pc, it was an "Intel i3, 8gb DDR4 and a 1tb m.2" we recieved a fucking Celeron G530, GT 710, 4gb DDR3 and a 500gb hdd.
Ive done a few upgrades bit im planning my own build now. Ive upgraded to a 1tb Hdd and windows 10 pro, 16gb ddr3 and im currently waiting on an intel i7 2600k quad core 3.8ghz.
me still on 2 cores π
One thing you didn't mention is that you can find the Dell Optiplex computers for about 100 USD and drop a GPU/PSU and it will play anything. I built my boys an entry level gaming pc with a gtx 1030 gpu for 180USD. Yes it will not be a gaming beast but it has played anything at low settings 1080p/30.
Actually, 4790K is truly still usable in 2023 if matched with a lower-end graphics cards.
4:04 what RTS game was that?
simple .. keep your old pc. you can max any of them for less than $100, add $100 to max out cpu. and decent video 8gb ddr5 xfx $170-220.. 2gb ddr5 Asus 710 card.
$100 basic upgrade for any ddr3 machine 16gb ram, and 500gb ssd.. HP makes a good price low budget fast enough Drive. these older machines do NOT support M2 or MVMe native.. you need to go sata.. so whats the point.
so $200 for a good solid machine to $300 or more if you get better video.
I cant find 16gb ddr3 non ecc sticks. MBs claim to use 64gb non ecc.. cant find the momory.
quads work fine for most use, just not top end games.
4970K user hereππββοΈ
love the video but I will perish before I close my tabs YES I am using all 24 tabs and Yes if I close any of them I will never find them again
I just built my little brother a pc with a 3770k and a 1060, works very well as a first pc!
1:09 I want that wallpaper
Writing this on my 10 year old 3570k and 1060. Yes it does everything I need and more still. Sure would be fun to upgrade but not with these nonsense prices.
Still rocking my i5-4590 from my 2015 budget build ($450 build back in the day). Just upgraded the RAM to 16GB from 8GB by buying an old used kit off ebay, and upgraded the graphics card from an EVGA GTX 750 TI to a used EVGA GTX 1070 SC that I also bought off ebay
Total upgrade cost was around $180, and it turns out, the GTX 1070 SC pairs really well with the i5-4590 in terms of CPU bottlenecking the GPU. I expect my current rig to last at least another 3 years before I'm forced to upgrade again
At 7:10. Alder Lake…
Sooo what your saying is I need to upgrade my 6700k lol.
I currently daily drive a Ryzen 5 3400G with a GTX 1050 Ti and 16GB RAM and its been able to run everything i throw at it pretty comfortably. Definitely an upgrade over what I was using just a month ago, a Dell Latitude E5530 with 8GB RAM and a Core i3 3120M
6 years on I5 6600, non-k.
I could buy a new cpu, it's not a problem, but then – I need new MoBo, PSU, install new Windows, software, games… I don't have time for this π
With RTX 3060, 16 GB RAM ddr4, on 1440p and 4K, there's no strong bottleneck like on 1080p, so for maybe next 4 years I will still use it.
I have 2 cores without hyper-threading. Runs alright.
RTX2080 founders πππ
Me using 2core i7 :/
I have an i7 4790
Man, I just love My 3300x, it is just enough!
I use a 2013 i7 2 core 1.7ghz
i just added a 70CND$ aliexpress RX 580 to my i5-4440 system and I have been playing CSGO and Destiny2 flawlessly at high FPS on high settings…my bottleneck so to speak is my old lcd tv i use a as a monitor…. i added another 8 gbs of DDR3 ram but i honestly think i could have done without….. save your money where you can guys. thanks for the content and appreciate all of you.
Tops I have 3 tabs open at once if on the internet.
I STILL USE A DUAL CORE. JUDGE ME.
My daily driver is built out of old server stuff and cost me 350 pounds and is as follows:
2x 16core e5 2698 v3 xeons (32C 64t , you can get a few cores at liek 3.6, maybe 4 or 6, the rest at about 3)
dual socket chinese mobo
gtx 980 ti
64gb ddr4 server ram
1tb samsung ssd
I compile the linux kernal lots and I game a fair bit but most of the games i like are pre 2016-17 and arent that tough to run (gta v, kerbal space program, rimworld, spin tires mudrunner, ) apart from the new flight sim. all these run well enough for me at 1440p
I build this for my sister for 150 pounds though
i7 4770 locked 4c8t 3.8ghz to 4.3ish turbo i think
16gb ddr3
780 ti
1tb kingston ssd
runs great for her minecraft and fortnite and gta and stuff. I will upgrade the gpu to my old 980 ti when i buy a 2080 used for 300 pounds. (THis will massively bottleneck on my server CPUS, but ill try it and ifI need to split it into a seperate PC I Iwll.
