Like most technical areas of expertise, doing adequate research and acquiring a solid knowledge base, are absolutely essential to good, efficiently executed results.
Just an FYI, you could achieve much better results with a small fraction of the materials used. First, uou are using the wrong software tools (there are free tools that you should have employed to determine placement), missing the most important areas that would substantially reduce the required amount of absorptive materials, and you should have used diffusers in two major areas where you employed absorptive instead.
I have helped build numerous media labs, recording and dub studios for decades, starting with MIT, LIHTI, NYU SB Lab, Seeflection Studios and many others.
its such a big difference i could tell without listening back to back to the quick brown fox tests but when i do its even more pronounced
Does OSHA have jurisdiction in Canada lol
the color difference is to add the illusion of depth
Yeah, I'm not going to pay for that.
3:40 – I just want Linus to know that–even though it took a year–at least one person got his "Carry the WAN" joke.
Maybe it's because I'm half deaf, and watching on a cheap 4k tv, on the tinny ass built in speakers, but I don't hear a single difference between either of those mics, or the before and after.
Are they open or closed cell foam?
1:10. Forever if I skip it
Wow significant decrease! Sick!
Is there a reason linus uses FT rather than metric even tho they are in Canada?
This is a year old, but it showed up in my recommended so…
It's "The quick brown fox jumpS over the lazy dog."
Otherwise, there is no 's'.
"a little bit of ceiling crap" OH NOES ASBESTOS! LINUS NOOOOOOOO!!!!
Panels like this are, for the most part a waste of money. just get 8" pine board, a bunch of pink insolation and some burlap and build huge thick, dense panels that cover a lot more space per dollar and absorb a far, far wider range of frequencies. Average cost of mine was about $40 for 2 4'x4'x6" panels and another $65 for 2 6'x4'x10" absorbers that when spaced a few inches away from the wall absorb down as far as around 160hz all the way up past 20k.
Put bass traps in the corners of the room too
Seems crazy expensive compared to the Donner 50-Pack Acoustic Foam Panels I used. That one is 50 square feet for a little over $50.
Another thing y’all could have tried was Audimute sound blankets. They even have greenscreen options. I blanketed all the walls in my office with Audimute and it gave my wife anxiety because it was so quiet.
I’m curious as to how well it would have scaled with just one more application.
wen affordable sound panels?
When you L and I fall together on the logo.. it kind of looks like the 'ANUS MEDIA GROUP' 😂
In a space like this just rounding out your corners from keeping sound being trapped maybe more efficient and cheaper.
The Timelapse the mount is fixed on Polaris and it rotates to match the earths
Rotation. Trust me I’m a expert I’ve had every conversation you had with my father and the responses are exactly the same! The pain we go through for the ones we love.
