Between era 300 and five who better
they are very expensive speakers to use as rear speakers
You forgot to mention that the Era 300 could be used as a VR headset as well…
It's a shame, that Sonos still doesn't support Google Cast. Now these new speakers don't support Google Assistant too. The only good thing about these is that you don't need an iPhone for Trueplay anymore.
Can you play it on a battery only? Or do you must plug it anyone?
If you use the Sonos 5 in a surround setup you cannot use them to connect a turntable is this still the case with these?
man, I tire of CNET's reporters. They sound tired, and dismissive, as this one did in this video. Gleans over some important details that other creators provide, and makes it seem like this is just an obligatory video they have to make to stay relevant.
i am heavily invested in smart home controlled by google. i was waiting for this and was going to purchase it for every room instead of my google home speakers. since it lifted the support for google assistant i am not considering buying them unfortunately. such a bummer
Sonos not supporting DTS: X is a dealbreaker for me
$900+Tax for just rear Atmos speakers? Yeaaaaaah, no. I was waiting for this and was hoping it would be closer to $250 to $300 per speaker for the rear Atmos setup, but I'll spend my money on another brand for Atmos. The 300s are overkill for rear speakers, and they should have added it to the 100.
How many can be connected via Daisy chain?? If i get like ten era 300 i expect a monstrous out of this world immersive concert like dynamism

If the Era 100s had up firing speakers and were Atmos compatible, I would pre order them. But they don’t, so i just keep using my sonos ones as surrounds.

I welcome the era 100, but I really love the design of the sonos 1, its a the perfect modern speaker design.
Using the 300s as rears would be completely ridiculous at the price they are. My ones which I picked up new for £120 each are starting to look a good deal .
