  6. An interesting thing is that XR displays can benefit up to 1000hz. For instance, if you lock your eyes on an object moving across the screen, you'll have a nice solid looking object. That same object without your eyes tracking it will naturally motion blur without breaks or strobing at lower frame rates. With more correct frame times, the pixels are on more because of the low persistence which leads to a brighter looking display. You can also more easily use T-REx tech which effectively doubles your resolution. These effects boosts the immersion and make a more life like display.

    So, even though 500hz might seem like it's pointless, there are plenty of benefits for still pushing higher hz.

  8. Linus… you miss crucial point and that is… human eye natural seeing, receiving refreshing rate unlimited, Infinite! So always any display with highest refresh rate will be better for health of human eyes!

  13. To me, the gold standard is OLED with BFI. It's close to CRT in motion clarity.

  14. I don't think this monitor's response time is fast enough to be compliant with 500 Hz refresh rate. Not without extreme overdrive with high overshoot.

  16. I feel like you guys were much too critical of this display, considering there were no issues with it. Sure it’s a barely imperceptible increase in refresh rate compared to the Zowie, but it’s also an IPS panel compared to a TN panel. I disliked the feel of this video, and usually I think you guys nail it.

  18. The monitor is great for esports due to the high refresh rate at 1080p, probably not for other kinds of games where higher resolution and fidelity makes the gaming experience better. I like being informed with these tech updates and reviews. I could almost enjoy watching these videos if not for the expensive tech components/equipment are manhandle in most if not all the videos. It makes people cringe. What's up with that? Is it just me who notices these? LOL

  25. Would it be possible to see the artifact if you shoot it with a high speed Camera. And stilled it or slowed it down?.
    Maybe it would be a bit easier to see when 90% of us is viewing it on a phone.

  34. I've been saying this since OLED tvs came out. Pixel response time on OLED is just far superior making a much clearer image that feels faster.

  35. Only 500Hz? I've seen a TV with 5000Hz. Definitely not some "Motion Flow" technique… 100% real frames per second (⁠●⁠_⁠_⁠●⁠)
