Jordan is so right here, I mean the reason why the industry exploded so much was because there wasn't really any other way to capture memories. Without a film point and shoot there wasn't anything you could do. Later digital cameras came out and kinda made it easier and cheaper so they sold like hotcakes. Most people weren't like super deep into photography, wanting to get the best image, they just wanted to take nice memories with their friends and families. But now the smartphone kinda replaced that. But the enthusiasts crowd that bought super expensive SLRs still exists. But that makes it harder for the industry to keep going. Because the cost of development isn't really going down (look at what chip development for a smaller node costs compared to previous nodes and you can only raise prices so much).

One of the non brand approved things revealed in the hack that actually annoyed me was an unedited Intel XTU video, where Linus made a comment about how the apple mouse was so unusable you needed 2 of them in case one went flat. The fact that this channel was coerced into editing that footage out for the final release is deeply depressing, because Apple wasn't even involved in its production.

2 tools that would help with the hack..
1) A log of changes done to the account / channel.
2) A Nuke button which freezes the channel (to the state it was in 24 / 48 hrs before) and automatically brings in a YT rep / engi to sort it out.

Of course there are other tools they could make / give access to that would help, along with making sure that obvious holes in security get closed.
